This was a really incredible idea. Not often in portal do I think "No, surely not" but you nailed it! Really had to think outside the box (or the cube, rather XD)

I've seen this happen before, never seen a map based around it. Really cool idea. I initially thought the solution would somehow involve getting a cube to balance on the wall button (I've read that you can do it with just one cube) and you could replace it with a pedestal button to avoid that red herring, but idk how many people would get distracted by that.

Couldn't see it so I read your hints. Surprisingly easy after that. I was going to try toncica's cube jump but I didn't think it would work. So, learn something new every day. Thanks. See ya round the workshop.

I found it difficult to place the cube properly, but liked the concept. Always liking the new concepts

The mechanism is quite original but I had a small problem with it the first time. I knew what has to be done, but the gel covered not only the panel, but also a bit of its surroundings, which made it impossible to continue. If you put glass or light strips around it that would prevent this issue. Anyway nice use of the mechanism!

that is fine.
it is a demonstration / how to torture turrets / fun / no puzzle.
please watch the 2 video's first.
it will help your enjoyment.
as their are things you can do, that I have never seen anywhere else.
& of course, things I have.

Glad it finally worked correctly for you too ;) I added your map to the list but I'm busy once again so it will probably take some time before I play it ^^

the proble I had, was not putting enough of the cube on the flip panel.
I put it all on, this time.
the result, was to extend the time considerably

I though about it.
but when the cube kept flinging from the panel.
I had trouble getting myself, straight to the panel befor this happened.
so did not try it.
as I said, perhaps I'm to slow.
Geneosis  [author] 2 Mar, 2013 @ 2:30pm
Lol, nice one XD I just fixed it, and the cubejump solution also...
Geneosis  [author] 2 Mar, 2013 @ 10:45am
@toncica : Glad you learnt something then :p Even if it was not really expected.

@mood3rd : Sorry about the random reject of the cube by the panel... As this is a not expected combination of elements, I can't really make it so that it will work correctly every time ^^" Anyway did you use the funnel to jump on the panel? Because if not this is probably the reason why your jump was not long enough...
mood3rd 1 Mar, 2013 @ 5:15pm
gave up, read comments, tried mentioned sollutions.
gave up again.
when jaming the cube in the panel.
it does not stay there long enough for me to successfully use it.
although, once I managed to hit the angled panel.
after many tries, & went down to the pit.
re-jaming it got very tedious.

have got the cube to the exit area, but not myself.
perhaps I am just to slow.
toncica 1 Mar, 2013 @ 4:40pm
I didn't figure out the intended solution, so I read the spoilers and that made it clear. In a regular chamber I would be pretty upset about that solution but I expected it to be experimental so no harm done. Since I was already there looking at the exit and the pit in front of me I thought why not try the cube jump. Never done it before, but jumping from the gel covered panel with a blue coated cube and then jumping off the cube gave me plenty of momentum, crushing into the wall next and slightly above the exit. Fascinating.
Geneosis  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 4:25pm
@toncica : So it is possible to cube jump to the exit... Well sadly that was no the expected solution XD
toncica 1 Mar, 2013 @ 2:34pm
Shame on you. You forced me to cube jump for the first time in my life. Took me less than 30 attempts.
Geneosis  [author] 26 Feb, 2013 @ 8:16am
@minervx : Thanks ^^ But the last version just prevent to use the "hard way", so only you solution should be possible now ;)
? 26 Feb, 2013 @ 6:48am
Another great chamber from Geneosis. I really like this one.

For those who are playing it, keep in mind that there are two possible solutions. One simple solution (the one i discovered) and one more complex solution (the intended solution for this puzzle).

Here is a big hint, only if you are REALLY stuck (SPOILER WARNING)
Trap one of the cubes inside the flip panel to prevent it from turning all the way, creating an angle.
Geneosis  [author] 24 Feb, 2013 @ 3:06pm
Oh ok, well I think the last update fixed that ^^ If you want to give it another try ;)
Jade BGE 24 Feb, 2013 @ 2:56pm
Well when I find nothing is working/can't figure it out I try everything so I was funneling gel wildly on all the protal surfaces and there you go. Not right huh? Didn't thinks so but it worked for me.
Geneosis  [author] 24 Feb, 2013 @ 2:50pm
@Jade BGE : I'm curious to know how you managed to put gel close enough to the side to perform the jump...
Jade BGE 24 Feb, 2013 @ 1:40pm
I accomplished the task of exiting the chamber but I did not recognize a new or weird mechanism that helped me. I did enjoy it. It seemed I just needed to get gel as close to the edge as possible and jump and I did. I liked. Thanks
