I guess what him meant was that you don't have to list all the mods you use here, and that you should do that somewhere else.

If you've found the root cause of the problem, then it's fine.

Especially if someone has problems, they can go through the pages to see if they've had a similar problem. Unless the other place would create a new thread so it's a bit easier to find. Unfortunately, I didn't understand where.
MushMami 12 Aug @ 5:30pm
Lads I found it I know you said I don't have to post it here but I found the mod that causes that bug it's a crafting mod of all things the mod is a lantern of radiance crafting mod. This was driving me insane :)
Moon-Shadow 8 Aug @ 4:10pm
So, multiple mods that control the behavior of what characters do could be a problem.

For example, if a mod is supposed to allow other factions to take over cities after defeating enemies, such a mod would either have to have both the same effect for that location, or it would have to be adapted to each other so that they don't interfere with each other.

If a mod is supposed to improve the combat behavior of guards, such as not running too far after an enemy to avoid being caught in the player's traps, or running into dangerous animals alone, or standing around uselessly because the AI can't find a way to the player or other enemies because a player is standing on something with their characters.

This shouldn't affect attack positions; they only determine how many can attack at once. In melee combat, there are always several around the outside, even if you only have the original 1 Slot.

post your findings in the comment section of the mod that was causing your issue.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 8 Aug @ 4:09pm
it is most likely one of your combat mods.
also no need to post it here as it has nothing to do with this mod.
MushMami 8 Aug @ 4:05pm
After 30 minutes searching through 125 mods (only 120 active right now) I can safely say I'm bald now. Pulled every inch of hair out of my head and found no mods the could or should be the reason why the AI is doing this. At this point I might have to go in and one by one deactivate each mod I have to see what would cause this. This is super weird considering the only combat mods I have is this a few weapon and armor mods and more weapons animations. If I find anything I'll post it here but as of right now I have no idea what's causing it and controlling them all at the same time seems to be the best working form.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 8 Aug @ 3:55pm
well i can tell you with 100% certainty it is not this mod.
it changes 1 thing in the FCS. that's it, 1 number. this mod would only conflict with other mods like it or that change the attack slots.

it's one of your settings or some other mod.
MushMami 8 Aug @ 3:26pm
OK after some more playing and some testing I was wrong. now not using the mod helped lessen then chance of the bug happening it still happens and is still very random I've tried a couple of things now moving squads changing the bodyguard to follow and then aimless changed the ai settings in the ai tab. And again it's very random some fight some don't some start then stop mid swing others like tagteam ruka swings once stops walks away(while being hit) and hopps starts to shoot then stops then beep jumps in while fighting something else. I'm probably going to be ripping my hairs out for the next hour trying to find what could be causing this. To state again none of my people have hold, passive or what ever other option on tried clicking on them then unclicking them nothing;p
MushMami 8 Aug @ 2:59pm
They were off passive and everything else and they went back to normal when i disabled it. I also disabled it because what perfect_perfect said about how it's fun to watch the fight watching the individual fights.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 8 Aug @ 5:18am
this mod only changes 1 number in the FCS.
it will not cause any bugs.
try turning your peeps off passive.
MushMami 8 Aug @ 12:29am
I don't know if the mod caused this but. I found a bug maybe when I had people bodyguard this one guy but when ever they got in combat some of them would just stand there even the range guy just stands. They don't do anything till they're hit maybe it's someother mod but I don't have a mod that changes combat like this one does.
Mitsurugi 10 Jul @ 4:28pm
3x seems to be the sweet spot despite what perfect_Prefect says. His argument is also severely flawed.. I play with increased chance of death and bigger nests(more hostile squads) and the cities haven't had any issues in the almost 600 hours I have put in kenshi.

If anything I would argue it makes the game harder for you early to mid game. Until you build up a capable squad that is able to fight well, and cohesively, YOU are the one getting ganged up on constantly. I remember when I first got Kang and a small squad of starving vagrants put him on the ground despite having mid 20s stats.

Also any boss or big enemy typically has a bunch of friends ex: bugmaster has a biome and building full of spiders, Catlon has something like 120 thraws waiting to rush you. So it's not like you just steamroll the game. I also recently watched a lvl 70 skeleton tech hunter solo a NH base raid squad of like 30 ppl, mostly paladins. and that was with it being 3 on 1 the entire time.
Moon-Shadow 17 Jun @ 11:13am
This modder made a x2 x3 x4 x5

And depending on what mods you use that change the combat system, it might be useful to have more than x1, or even more than x2, depending on what mods you use together.

Some mods also add attack slots if they use a more advanced combat system than the original game.

Therefore it makes sense if there are several mods of it.
Kraut Kontrol 6 Jun @ 11:44pm
Note that you don't need this mod if you have RE_Kenshi installed, as that lets you change the attack slots to whatever number you want.
perfect_Prefect 3 Jun @ 1:48am
If you're looking for a universally balanced setup, Attack Slots x2 fits Kenshi very well. It slightly increases the importance of numbers, but still preserves the original balance and leaves room for individual skill - a trained warrior with high stats and good gear can still mow down enemies - just a bit less excessively. Exactly what’s needed! I use it myself and recommend it.

That said, if you’re planning to frequently fight using large squads of your own - i.e. groups that significantly outnumber most enemy parties - then it’s probably best not to increase the number of attack slots at all
perfect_Prefect 3 Jun @ 1:44am
Because of this, Attack Slots x3 might be acceptable - but with a serious caveat. It's probably only appropriate for playthroughs with small squads of melee fighters. Keep in mind that ranged units (crossbowmen) don’t occupy melee attack slots - they can shoot simultaneously and aren't limited by how many allies are already engaging the enemy. Meanwhile, most NPC squads are composed almost entirely of melee fighters. So if your squad includes ranged units, you'll create a powerful synergy with the increased number of attack slots - enemies will be overwhelmed and wiped out, especially lone bosses or small elite groups.
perfect_Prefect 3 Jun @ 1:43am
In vanilla (Attack Slots x1), cities like Mongrel are able to withstand attacks from weak enemies like fogmen thanks to strong guards. The same applies to Flotsam Ninja bases, Cannibal Hunter camps, etc. With a high number of attack slots (e.g., x4 or x5), there's a real risk that weak enemies could overwhelm defenders, which may destabilize the world. Now imagine stacking that with mods like Cannibals Expanded...
perfect_Prefect 3 Jun @ 1:39am
My Reasoned Opinion on Why Increasing Attack Slots to x3+ Is Not Desirable (and a spoiler right away: Attack Slots x2 is just what you need)

The world of Kenshi thrives on a sense of vulnerability and the value of individual skill. When you're facing a powerful enemy, having just one attack slot allows quality to stand out over quantity. Increasing the number of slots dilutes that experience, turning even epic NPCs like Cat-Lon into mere fodder for a crowd. While this might be closer to realism, it goes against the role-playing design and balance of Kenshi’s world, where elite, well-known NPCs are meant to feel like legendary figures.
Depending on your playstyle, it can noticeably simplify the game - rather than make it harder.
Dratgon 10 Mar @ 11:22am
@boba, it's refering to how many people can attack the same person at the same time.

So in a 1v3 with 1x attack slots, the 3 would attack one after the other giving the 1 a chance to block each attack separately

Whereas with 3x attack slots the 3 could all attack together, making the 1 have an extremely hard time blocking all strikes, if not outright impossible.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 24 Jan @ 9:14pm
no. base is 1x1
bobazix 24 Jan @ 4:02pm
Isn't it in the game? I see all the time my one character getting attacked by multiple guys, like theyre doing attacks almost at the same time
Alpacalypse 17 Nov, 2024 @ 7:01am
sweet, thank you hatsune neko gaming
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 17 Nov, 2024 @ 4:41am
yes it can, just put it in the proper load order.
Alpacalypse 16 Nov, 2024 @ 10:20pm
Can this mod be used to overwrite mods with different attack slot features built in? I want to try Combat Tweaks but don't want to be locked into 5x attack slots, so will installing this lower in load order overwrite that 5x or just stack on top of it somehow?
ToxicRoachx50 10 Oct, 2024 @ 11:18am
Gonna try it, also got a mod to reduce stun animations
serejkafp 30 Aug, 2024 @ 11:49am
Multiple times i did it, and nothing helps, and did new saves
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 30 Aug, 2024 @ 11:35am
did you import your save?
serejkafp 30 Aug, 2024 @ 11:30am
So after reinstalling game after 1 year, all my mods downloaded again, so there was no manipulation with attack slots, but with THIS mod, it seems i get attacked by 5 people at once, i even checked by installing attack slots x5, and reverting back to x3 , but still my boy gets beaten by 5 people
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 18 Aug, 2024 @ 4:32am
well that can happen if your playing solo. but you do get to do attacks.
RamamBaharamBamBurum 17 Aug, 2024 @ 7:10pm
If there are a lot of enemies, because of this mod your character will constantly stand in block and obviously take all the hits without doing damage in return, so the mod on attack slots is very bad.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 12:42pm
long as you import, yeah it should work.
Pencabut Nyawa Keling 15 May, 2024 @ 12:01pm
i see okay thank you very much, so basically i just need to uninstall this then get the shidan mode then after that uninstall the shidan mode then it will be back to square 1 right?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 8:51am
its something to do with the games coding that does it, so yeah, you will need shidans mod to reset it.
there is nothing i can do about it.
though sometimes importing can fix it.
Pencabut Nyawa Keling 15 May, 2024 @ 6:50am
so after set to 3 with this mod , even after uninstall i need shidan mod to make it back to 1?instead of just uninstall then it will be back to 1?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 6:13am
Shidan has the mod for 1x
Pencabut Nyawa Keling 15 May, 2024 @ 4:46am
hi does this mod still have the probelm where even after u uninstall they will still 3 v 1 u ?
Soulcast 3 Apr, 2024 @ 5:39pm
I've been using 2x for a long time, and am looking for more of a challenge from hordes/the ability to finish fights quickly once it's only one enemy left. My only concern is that places like mongrel and flotsam village might struggle under the pressure of so many mooks being able single a unit out at once.
Is x3 that tipping point, or will it be fine?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 23 Feb, 2024 @ 2:36pm
look for Shidans mod of 1x
Machete_h4X 23 Feb, 2024 @ 9:46am
Is it possible to remove this mod? I've removed it and imported, and it still seems like I'm getting hit 3 times at once.
Bare Minimum Bandit 19 Feb, 2024 @ 6:28am
seems like a fun mod untill we get ambushed by beak things xD :D thanks though as a kenshi noob this will make it even more challenging :praisesun:
Siluda 24 Jan, 2024 @ 2:45pm
this is pretty intresting so if i have 5 dudes and we gang up on a good swordsman we will have the upper hand, but if i find more dudes we will get curb stomped. great mod
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 23 Dec, 2023 @ 7:15pm
there is an import option in the main menu.
its how you make sure mods get added to your game, not all mods require this though.
RoyRiper 23 Dec, 2023 @ 7:13pm
I'm new to mods for Kenshi, what does it mean that it has to be imported?
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 24 Oct, 2023 @ 5:09am
no import required.
Jay 24 Oct, 2023 @ 12:54am
Does it require an import?
I Am Bacon 5 Oct, 2023 @ 1:03pm
balls
19Peej 13 May, 2023 @ 9:48pm
Thank you very much!!
19Peej 13 May, 2023 @ 9:48pm
Agree with Hatsune, that comment makes zero sense. Lol.
Hatsune Neko Gaming  [author] 28 Feb, 2023 @ 1:53pm
not sure why you commented about another mod here.
you should talk to them.
Boppin 28 Feb, 2023 @ 1:39pm
I find this mod redundant as (now I am not big on knowledge) I downloaded the red sands collection (I go to many games and find best collection and go from there) and that collection has it changed as I have gotten a 1v4 situation and that women went down so fast and all my hard earned cybernetics were a joke
