Main reason I ask is because this is WC. Unlimited Delay Works themselves. Who knows when the devkit will be updated again. If that's what you're waiting for before releasing the mod we might not see it in ASA for close to another year because of their inability to release anything in a timely manner. Was hopeful after your comment almost 2 months ago now that it would have already been out but I guess not if we have to wait for WC to get their act together. xD
As for discord, I don't currently have plans to expand the mod once it's published, so it's unlikely I'll setup a server.
"Unfortunately, the developers of Ark pushed an update that broke every server. We can't roll it back, but there is one piece of good news: they also released a branch called preaquatica that seems to work for now. To get your server back online, you'll need to switch to it from the Basic tab."
I right clicked the game and went to properties then clicked on the tab Betas where you will see Beta Participation. From there look to your right to change it from none to preaquatica - ASE : Pre-Aquatica
hope this helps
My silent prayers have been heard, and because of mostly RP servers I played on for ages and most of my 4k hours for ASE, I could never do vanilla KO taming after all that.
Cannot wait for IT on ASA once you finish it. Thanks for the update, I bet a lot of us appreciate it. I sure do.
Again thanks for the update, extremely excited and kind regards, Corporate Colonel.
I understand if you're done with ASE, and I understand if you want to move on. This is your mod, and your life is your life. You don't owe us anything. However if you're willing, I'd really implore you to reach out to the aquatica devs, and see if there's a potential workaround to keep Immersive Taming working on Survival Evolved.
Of course, if there's any way I can help, I would 100% be willing to support you, commission you, donate funds, etc. I don't know the difficulties of modding, and after all the fun that Immersive Taming's brought me, I'd 100% be down for supporting you, and supporting a working version of Immersive Taming. I'd say I owe you it, haha.
Regardless of what your decision is, I do genuinely want to thank you for all the fun your modding work has brought me, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's been a seminal part of the Ark experience for me. So thank you for everything, regardless of the future of Ark and your mods!
Hi Burgesssssss,
I wanted to thank you for this mod and let you know it's my favorite mod on the workshop, of all time. I began playing ark way back in 2018 with Immersive Taming and never stopped using it. I simply don't like vanilla taming, and this mod has made Ark so much more fun for me. If it goes down, I genuinely don't think I'll continue playing ark. Your mods ARE ark for me.
So thank you a ton for all the great memories, and for being a core part of my ark experience.
I'd like to, well, practically BEG you to try not to give up on the ASE version. The aquatica devs have released a call to modders on ASE's most recent announcement to reach out to them for help and support in updating popular mods to work with Aquatica.
Thaks for the reply^^
Due to hardware failure, the only version of the ASE Immersive Taming source files I had was a backup from 2019. I initially attempted to import this into ASA, but likely due to the files being from such an old version of the ASE dev kit, it wasn't compatible. I have since lost these source files also due to further hardware failure.
This means for ASE, I cannot update the mod any further, or provide source code for others to do so.
For ASA, I have been slowly re-creating the mod from scratch in my free time since launch. It's about 95% complete, but I'm just waiting on some 5.5 specific fixes being pushed to the dev kit, which will hopefully be in the next month or so. It will also be a free mod.
Hope this helps clarify some things.
It shows it on the journal but it doesn't work
