ATTENTION

As far as I can tell, this version of the mod is not working. For some reason I am still not able to properly pack all the files in a BSA, so the steam version will crash. Until I can make it work, the only option is to download the Nexus version with loose files. I know some of you don't like to use the Nexus, but there's nothing I can do. I'm pretty sure this version will not work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Idk it just crashen when I opened the location, also the anchor to Chaoskampf didn't let me travel utill I started the quest with the console

Has anybody successfully downloaded and run this? I was having some trouble dealing with the BSA file, but it looks like it uploaded fine? Let me know if it worked for you.

@Uncle Boneless I'm working on it. Need to add a bunch of foliage throughout the worldspace and I'll be about there.

Worth noting that I don't believe I will be able to release the update here on Steam. I've had some trouble archiving it to a BSA, and either way I think the file will be too large to upload here. It might end up being a Nexus exclusive. I'll let you know what happens.

How's that rebuild been coming along in the past 6 months? I've just gotten into this trilogy and I'm loving it.. But it gets hard to want to binge this story when I keep having to log out of my PC and reboot the entire Skyrim launcher (Not even task manager can fix the screen glitches that happen with this new map). Even when I consider my computer to be relatively well built.

I hope for some kind of solution soon, this seems to be pretty common and it'd be a shame for everyone to get stuck before they can see the Lovecraftian influences.

This mod is so extremely taxing to the graphics because of all the custom designs and models. I had to make it a habit to quicksave every few seconds because crashes were so occasional and frequent that I could barely leave the spot I am on.

ok so, my hunter isn't here anymore. hes just kind of floating and invisible on the dock near his ship. if i hit the area he's sposed to be in it makes a impact sound, but console commands won't grab his code when i click the area. Happened when i installed this mod and call of cthulhu.

@Fearmonger I would say just wait a bit. I'm in the process of completely rebuilding this mod, so hopefully I will be able to get it to run a lot better.

I've turned all my settings down to the lowest they go and i don't have any visual improvement mods, yet I still cannot get black marsh to load. It loaded once, but even then i couldn't get more than a little ways down the dock before it freezes and crashes. any advice is appreciated, I loved the first mod and want to continue playing the series.

Black Marsh keeps crashing. It's like super pretty, and I love the tortoise and the dodos. But whenever I try to get much farther away than the tortoise, I get CTD'd. I think I made it up the path far enough to see a crocodile once.

@Araanim Thanks. Neat btw. I'll need to make a new character but whatever. My character is bugged as hell anyway. My character is a nord but people define me as a dumner. Also I'm for some reason vampire AND werewolf. Even if I have no mods about that.

@Apples I should clarify that previous statement. There is no "armor made out of crocodile scales." I'm actually going to go with a slightly different take on the prize armor in this one, since there's only one main monster. Suffice it to say that I will be adding a very large portion of aztec/mayan-themed Xanmeer ruins that will provide some very unique pieces, including an ultimate armor set and weapons. That armor will then have to be combined with the remains of Cipactli in interesting ways to create usable armor. Also in there will be a fully unique set for the Kothringi.

As it stands now, the Legion carries a number of uniquely Greek and Roman armors and weapons (thanks to some great modders who were happy to share) that are extremely well done. So feel free to enjoy those for now, but it will be a little bit until I can get to the other stuff.

@Apples Canon-wise I like to think of Call of Cthulhu as always being last, since it's a pretty epic end-of-world situation, but it doesn't HAVE to be.

@Apples It is a direct sequel to the first mod, but really a "parallel" story I guess.. It will start at any time AFTER you kill Karkinos (which is when you actually join the Hunter in being a monster hunter.) It should run completely independent of Call of Cthulhu so you do it before, after, or during. You will need to talk to the Hunter at least once at the beginning, so you won't be able to start it if he's still kidnapped. I also don't have an option yet for players that chose to join the cult and kill the Hunter. (I'll add a book on the Chaoskampf, so you can do it without him.)

whenever I go to black marsh, as soon as I move 50 feet from the chaoskampf the game freezes and then crashes.

@aidanburden You can activate the anchor chain to sail to Black Marsh (I wasn't sure how else to do it :-P ) You can only sail at that point in the quest, though.

@Triumph So, the Call of Cthulhu quest does sort of imply that you have already defeated Alduin and Miraak. I didn't make that a hard requirement, but the story assumes that you have already defeated them, yes. For the other two, it doesn't really matter.

The quest is triggered when you walk onto the Chaoskampf (docked in Dawnstar), only after you have defeated Karkinos. This will cause a woman named Galeria to seek you out.

Hey, I installed the mod through the Nexus (It wasn't downloading from the workshop, Idk why), but the quest hasn't triggered from me going onto the Chaoskampf. Am I doing anything wrong?

my game,whenever i have the mod enabled it always crashes and freezes at random times

@J4cob01 I like that idea, although there are other "hunter" mods that seem to cover smaller-scale monsters. I recommend playing those in conjunction with this series to get the full effect. I do want to do a proper Kraken at some point, but nobody's made an octopus or squid yet. I'm looking at adding a few more single-monster, quick quests like this. The next installment might be based in Thras, the island of the Sloads, but that might be a bit more than I want to tackle right now. Maybe not the whole kingdom; maybe just one island.

@whitemikeside I think trying to make a jungle is just too much for the system. It usually works on my potato of a computer, but I use almost zero weather/enb/visual mods at all. So if it's trying to load all those trees and plants at high quality graphics level, your computer just might not be able to do it. I'm going to go through and revamp everything to try and optimize as well as I can. I know a bunch of the trees I used are high-poly and badly optimized; I think if I replace them with some more efficient models I can get things running a little better.

For now you can try turning down your settings a bit to see if that lets it load at least.

When I am prompted to "open black marsh" on the Chaoskompf there is an endless loading screen thats lasted nearly an hour and a half. This mod is clearly in the works so this is very understandable. I've enjoyed your work so much and I'm so excited for whats coming next :)

I'm having a problem. When i get to Black Marsh, I can't go a certian distance from the boat or my game freezes. I thought it might be the loading order, but even when I put Sign of Cipactli after the origional HereThere Be Monsters, it still loads first. Any advice?
