ATTENTION

As far as I can tell, this version of the mod is not working. For some reason I am still not able to properly pack all the files in a BSA, so the steam version will crash. I believe at this point, the mod is just TOO BIG to upload on Steam. Until I can make it work, the only option is to download the Nexus version with loose files. I know some of you don't like to use the Nexus, but there's nothing I can do. I'm pretty sure this version will not work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

"It is only by my hand, by my face, my heart, my spirit
that either I will wither, or I will bloom,
I will become as green land, as tilled earth
I will germinate, I will sprout."
-Aztec Proverb

You have met monsters vast beyond measure, slaying them and ripping trophies from their flesh. You have protected the shores of Skyrim and her people. You are a Monster Hunter. The tales of your exploits spread far and wide, bringing others to seek out your services. It seems there are other waters out there which hide their own monsters. A noble from Cyrodiil has come to Skyrim, looking to hire a hunter. She speaks wild tales of a cult, a sload, and a monster, far away in the jungles of Black Marsh. Will you help her? Will you stop this monster? Or be consumed by it?

The Sunken God awaits you in the Marsh.

This quest will continue the adventures of Here There Be Monsters.  The hunt will lead you to a far-away outpost in Black Marsh and pit the player against a blood-thirsty Argonian cult hellbent on awakening a vast and all-powerful crocodile god, Cipactli.  While there you will encounter strange peoples and even stranger monsters.

The quest will not activate until after the player has defeated the monster known as the Curruid during the quest "Hunter of Monsters" in the first mod.  After defeating the monster, stepping foot on the Chaoskampf again will trigger a woman named Galeria Richton to start following you.  When you talk to her, she will try to hire you, and from there the quest begins.

-A new worldspace in Black Marsh, featuring Argonian & Kothringi villages, swamps, jungles, lakes, and ancient Imperial & Xanmeer ruins!

-All the terrifying flora and fauna you would expect in the dreaded Black Marsh!

-The Legion, a blood-thirsty cult that fashions themselves after the ancient Imperials they slaughtered long ago!

-The Black Tribes of the Naga, vicious beasts that dwell in the ancient Xanmeers!

-The last tribe of the Kothringi, the savage silver-skinned humans of Black Marsh!

-Tons of new weapons, new armors, new spells!

-Several giant monsters to battle, including the dreaded crocodile-god Cipactli!

-Custom soundtrack with exclusive pieces from Paleowolf and Jeremy Soule himself!

-I tried to make this quest slightly more of a mystery/hunt, so it will take some exploration when you first get to Black Marsh to figure out what to do.

-Some people have found this easy to miss if you don't have quest markers turned on, so to actually travel to Black Marsh, you need to activate the anchor chain on the deck of the Chaoskampf.

-If Galeria dies on her way to Solitude, you will need to find her body and get he sea charts off of her to continue the quest.  The quest marker *should* point to her body, so you should be able to find her.

-You may notice that this mod is flagged as "adult".  That is because there are a few "tribal" outfits among the Naga that are a bit skimpy and might be too revealing for some players.  Furthermore, some of them use the UNP body, so if you angle the camera juuuuust right you might see something scandalous.  Beyond that, there is nothing overtly sexual going on.

-Due to the large amount of custom objects used to create a believable jungle environment, the main worldspace can be a little much for some systems.  I had a few points with consistent CTDs, and found that switching over to an SSD seemed to fix them (implying that is was a memory issue.)  If you are having issues, try to optimize your game as much as possible, and turn down your draw distance so that it's not trying too load to much at once.

-A few of the new armors have some clipping issues.  This will be worked out once I figure out how to use Outfit Studio.

-A few of the "skimpy" armors rely on the UNP body for obvious reasons.  You do not *need* to use UNP, but be aware that without "fully-nude" textures you will see a weird underwear texture around the crotch area because of the vanilla body textures.  Any of the popular "nude" body texture mods should alleviate this; it doesn't need to be UNP.

-The quest is still not fully voiced, so you will need to keep Subtitles turned on for some characters.

-A possible "dark side" quest where you unleash the monster instead of stopping it.

-More jungle detail.

-Better armor meshes.

-AI tuning for monster combat.

-I may possibly do a patch for a few of Mihail's mods, so that it will populate Black Marsh with his creatures.

Has anybody successfully downloaded and run this? I was having some trouble dealing with the BSA file, but it looks like it uploaded fine? Let me know if it worked for you.

@Uncle Boneless I'm working on it. Need to add a bunch of foliage throughout the worldspace and I'll be about there.

Worth noting that I don't believe I will be able to release the update here on Steam. I've had some trouble archiving it to a BSA, and either way I think the file will be too large to upload here. It might end up being a Nexus exclusive. I'll let you know what happens.

How's that rebuild been coming along in the past 6 months? I've just gotten into this trilogy and I'm loving it.. But it gets hard to want to binge this story when I keep having to log out of my PC and reboot the entire Skyrim launcher (Not even task manager can fix the screen glitches that happen with this new map). Even when I consider my computer to be relatively well built.

I hope for some kind of solution soon, this seems to be pretty common and it'd be a shame for everyone to get stuck before they can see the Lovecraftian influences.

This mod is so extremely taxing to the graphics because of all the custom designs and models. I had to make it a habit to quicksave every few seconds because crashes were so occasional and frequent that I could barely leave the spot I am on.

the woman who you talk to to start the quest doesnt seem to want to leave the chaoskampf

ok so, my hunter isn't here anymore. hes just kind of floating and invisible on the dock near his ship. if i hit the area he's sposed to be in it makes a impact sound, but console commands won't grab his code when i click the area. Happened when i installed this mod and call of cthulhu.
