@TastelessGent try unsubscribing from the mod and giving it a few seconds to uninstall it (the progress bar at the bottom of the steam window will let u know when its done) then try resubscribing. i have had some problems in the past when mods have updated they sometimes dont update properly for whatever reason and this has fixed it. just give it a try

Thanks I'll have a look into it. I have nearly 90 hours in ETS2 and had this mod for around 10-20 hours of that what I don't get is why it's suddenly started doing it after buying a couple map DLC packs.

Oh! I don't use consoles/the Deck (not my thing, way too restrictive), but if you have access to the config.cfg from where the profiles are stored and a keyboard, you should be able to make - "r_buffer_page_size" - to either 30 (16GB RAM) or 50 (32+GB RAM). This is the thing that usually fixes any such crash issues with mods or it is just the Deck's fault for not been beffy enought.

@Brulikrax, I'm on steamdeck and I've left all its settings as default if that helps but I'm very new to PC gaming.

@TastelessGent, the other two things I know of are connected to your RAM, VRAM and your buffer size in the config file.

No I all my maps are either base game or DLC I do have "Better roads for old maps" mod though but the crash only occurs with this mod enabled.

Are you using a map combo by a chance?

I'm getting a crash when opening the map since buying a couple of new DLC and narrowed it down to this mod. It may go away after I've done another trip or not I'll update if it doesn't.

The new version of the mod runs with no issues. Crashes may occur from unupdated or faulty and corrupted mods. The jams we are used seeing are due to traffic vehicular additions from Trafficman, JazzyCat, etc..

@Cipus tested 2 more times, fresh career with only traffic density (external 1.56) installed, worked perfectly, then next test was same new career but with Jazzycat Motorcycle mod + your motorcycle sound mod + sound fixes mod + traffic density again no problems with the 1.56 external from the download link.:Thanks again!

Cipus had provided you with a working update, be that as an external source. Is it so hard to download it?!

Stop nagging it will come when it is finished. So far Cipher has updated his mods when he has the time. Authors has a life outside modding like family and a real work. It is naggers like you that are the reason for author going patreon or dischord instead.

In my opinion it creates incompatibility with the game because the developers have tried to work on the increase of bots on the streets, at least in my version 1.56 in some areas the traffic seems to have increased

first disable the mod, go to the startmenu and activate the mod it should work even tho its not updated

for the update we have to wait for ets3 :)
