Now it becomes a OP in vanilla game.

Version 1.0 supports movable drill natively, so unless the developer removes that feature, I'm sure it'll still be in 1.1 :)

j'espère qu'il sera compatible en 1.1! :)

Unsubscribing due to the implementation. Thanks for making this and updating it along the way, and congrats on your idea being implemented.

"However, as of patch 1.0, drills can be moved at any time (i.e. once the resources are exhausted, the drill can be reused)"
according to rimworldwiki.com

But thank you anyway for looking into it and the initial mod!

Hmm, looking at the code, it seems like the DeepDrill is now repositionable freely. Can anyone confirm/deny? I don't have a current save to test with at the moment.

Hey guys, I'll have a look at updating the drill mod. Hopefully it won't be too hard. It was a pretty simple tweak originally.

An update would be very much appreciated :)

Yea that seems simple enough that it wouldn't cause issues.. but I've had many crash issues since I've started trying out mods, even the most basic ones seem to cause issues sometimes :( oh well, can't have everything, thanks for making this mod :)

Anthropy, thanks for your research and reporting back. The reinstallable drill mod is pretty simple -- it just extends the deep drill class and flips the reinstallable bit to "true". I don't know what the mining priority mod does, but maybe it tries to make further changes to the drill.

nevermind, it actually seemed to be Mining Priority that caused it.. but just in case anyone else runs into it I'll leave it here. Mining priority mod can be found here https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1345928533 maybe they're incompatible with eachother or something

It seems that this mod is making my game crash on Mac OS, although I have a hard time to isolate the real problem. It happens as soon as I activate this mod alongside my others, when the survivers crashland and the pods open, as soon as one pod is open the game disappears. The strange thing is, as soon as I remove this mod the problem persists for 2 restarts, after that it doesn't crash anymore, making it hard to isolate the problem initially. I'll try run the game with just this mod to see if it still crashes and let you know if it does.

I like to move it move it

Yes, it should work fine with existing saves. I enabled in the middle of one of my own games and it simply made the drill reinstallable.

Does this mod work with existing saves?

Agreed! Whole heartedly appreciate your mod, Bent Spork!
Bent Spork  [author] 18 Dec, 2017 @ 7:26pm
Some argument can be made for the base drill mechanics, but I say screw it, just let us move it. :)
The_Deathjester 18 Dec, 2017 @ 6:49pm
THANK YOU!!!!!!
[Recon]The Famous Zombie Hunter 18 Dec, 2017 @ 5:42pm
Thank fuck. This needs to be in the base game. Rather ridiculous, you mine to get steel, then lose some of that steel to deconstructing these bloody things...
Xsile 18 Dec, 2017 @ 12:16pm
Thanks for this.
