Hey, Im having issues with rendering. I recently just moved to Linux, upgraded my graphics card and after not playing the game in a long time I noticed that after the last update, lighting was super off. The Outpost and all tech tutorial levels look like something out of Doom 3 (it's too dark!). Could this mod have something to do with it? I haven't played in a long time so I forgot what mods do what, but from reading the comments it sounds like this mod has some issues with the latest Starbound.

What is this mod even about?

No trouble but i dont maintain this mod.The problem is that this mod is for vanilla version it will work with some mod but mostly not as many uses textures stuff.Aswell some mod dont clean their pngs and stuff or use low particle.Some mod change weather or stuff wich create conflict between this mod and others.

Well uh, idk if you want this but I found out that this mod screws up my preloadtexture thingy majiggy, so there u go. I unsubscribe and problem go away

I could @WhiteWolf, but it is not in my plans to mod for this game anymore.The reason is that i don't even support this mod anymore.The fact of the story start removal, is because people like us who have a dual core and an integrated cheap graphic card we was not able to play the first boss...I wish you understand.

can you make a mod that just has the fps stuff and dosent include the story removeal if you can thank you if not its whatever figured id ask.

Yes, i added it so you can do a small travel of your own.The main purpose was the perfomance and then i added some candy.And wich is become "O universe" ,it was before AXEH_FPS wich im the creator to, make a long time tough i dont remember if i keep it in the workshop.If you wanted to pursuit the main story you always can do as it was vanilla.This mod intend to leave you choose to :follow the story , follow your own story or follow them both!

100% understandable dude, I actually found a different mod that does not reduce lag as much, but has the lighting I always wanted at same time.

hi , im sorry there will be no more change , no special version like with or without this it come as it is.I understand thats some love this some doesnt some want a small bit of that and not of this and its normal we all different.but im at school + i work + i have my kid + doing some secret prog in the garage , i dont even have a time to scratch my nose.But if i find a time i will try to make a little something but for the moment i prefer to be honest i'm really busy.Thank you all for your support and feedbacks at the second i have a hand free ill make something for you guys who want only this or only that.

the lighting is an aquired taste, while I enjoy it, I think most people are just here for the compressed png files.

i just want the fps improvements, not the new story...

.-. its sad... i dont know what really to say thats buggin me that you see it so dark when it not suppose to be so dark you remember me some comment but wte its also more buggin me that even if you rise gamma or luminosity that you get nothing its ultra mega strange cause i wear big glasse so for me clarity is important also i caint define color on color

I like the mod b/c it does increase my fps a bit, but at the same time everything is just way too dark. I turned up the gamma and brightness, but it doesn't help that much. I went to that Arc town in the beginning and the whole town is dark...I mean real dark. I appreciate your efforts, but unfortunately I can't use this mod if its going to be this dark.

and they never had cleaned their png theres almost no commented code well its wa a team of "bad programmers" when i say bad i dont mean they where not good but real prog person will understand that meaning

the real problem of that game honestly guys/girls and i dont understand why they did it that way is that everything as a damit fucking particle :O the wind in the tree when you chopped when it falls when it change to log just that scene is like about 1000 particles so yup they fucked cause those freaking particles are loaded in the instant they not preloaded scene thats why its so laggy the game is great and everything but the code and the way they did is shitty i mean by theres you are constantly loading and loading and loading particle after particle after particle

yes your are right its still a bit darker then the usual game code , the fact is that i changed the light engine who was requesting a lot of the memory cause it is displayed dynamicaly so yup its darker but less darker then the first upload since i did try to maximize all the light i could get if i put it more lighter it will start to lag again .-. sadly i pass more then 3 month to change all the thing try the math etc but is the best setting i could get i can suggest to rise gamma or the luminosity of your screen to when you play this game i know its not the best way but as you can see in the screenshot im at 0 lum and 1.1 gamma and without flashlight or torch and i can see most of thing

Is the lighting supposed to be that dark? Im having to put a torch up every few tiles away. I had about 3-4 torches in an area where 1 would of done the trick. The flashlight too, everything is just very dim. Not sure if this has to be this way to save the frames.

its the final version ill come time to time look your comment to see where make changes if it as to be done but now ill focus to try to make games with qt and try to fly on my own wings cause its depressing me to have learn c++ and not know what to do of, not really that i dont know how to use it or its not a good language , its perfect i can do alot of great thing i made multiple utility program its just i found like i dont do nothing for me its cool to satify everyone and get likes but like most say when you have dream follow them

Nice mod! But i think that the lightning is too much weaker, have any way to revert only this modification or any mod to improve the lights? At least in my game, the ambient got too much darker :/
