I've also done a few other Civil War maps that I haven't uploaded to the workshop, though I might get around to it since you ask.
SUPER PLAYS 12 Oct, 2017 @ 9:48am
I'll try that out next time then for sure. Any other really cool maps? Love your work dude!
Watauga  [author] 11 Oct, 2017 @ 11:36pm
Wow, that was quick. Thanks!

One way you can prevent the AI from getting stuck on the border of the map like that is to use multiple AI players, each with fewer units rather than one with many units. I've also positioned their spawn zones behind each other so they sort of act like seperate waves.

Check out this awesome recreation of the battle of Fredricksburg with this map!! Amazing job!

Sorry for late reply. Make sure you have Primergy's buildings pack downloaded. Link is in description above.
Cvlsoldier 11 Apr, 2017 @ 4:00pm
Okay. Oh and by the way, for some reason the wall isn't visible on the map.
Watauga  [author] 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:53pm
Sorry but there are only a limited number of models I can work with. Someone would have to create more ACW buildings.
Cvlsoldier 5 Apr, 2017 @ 2:27pm
Anyway you can change the buildings to be more accurate?
panzerschreck 13 Apr, 2016 @ 7:07am
you should replace also the houses when you can, thanks for you work!
Watauga  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 10:38pm
Updated map with Primergy's new stone wall models and fences. Make sure you download Primerygy's buildings pack linked at bottom of description. Then the new stone wall and fenches should show up.
Watauga  [author] 6 Jul, 2015 @ 12:23pm
Updated the map a bit for more historical accuracy. I tried to add a profile pic here on the workshop but I can't get it to work for some reason. However there should now be a profile pic for the map in game.

Also, for those that have not, I Highly recomend playing this map with the North&South II mod!

I am not sure what the problem is then. Like I said, it could be something to do with it being in the E: drive. Do you have Windows 8? You might want to try asking on total war center.
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 10 Dec, 2013 @ 12:32pm
All the maps make their way here for some stupid reason
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\88915697\ugc
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 10 Dec, 2013 @ 11:48am
Didn't do anything. I completely removed shogun and all mods and then installed it again with no progress.
Watauga  [author] 9 Dec, 2013 @ 1:10pm
I think it has something to do with your file being in the E: drive possibly or that your game is not fully updated. Can't think of what else could be the problem. If everything else fails, if you haven't already, try deleting the folder for the map and subing again.
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 8 Dec, 2013 @ 11:01am
Just tried it. Didn't work. I think I need to do something to make the game detect the files. It just seems to ignore it.
Watauga  [author] 8 Dec, 2013 @ 10:42am
Try changing the name to The Creative Asembly because thats what it says on mine C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 8 Dec, 2013 @ 5:57am
E:\Users\Hedlöf\AppData\Roaming\Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps
The above should be correc, right? The thing is that the game doesn't want to detect it and it just ignores its' excistens.
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 8 Dec, 2013 @ 5:55am
Some of my unit mods made its' way here:
E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\88915697\ugc\referenced

I copy pasted some maps into the same folders to see if anything happened but it didn't. The mod manager can detect the unit mods but not the maps AND THEY ARE IN THE SAME FOLDER!!!! sorry for caps :P
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 8 Dec, 2013 @ 5:49am
I just created a "Creative Assembly" folder and it still doesn't work...
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 8 Dec, 2013 @ 5:04am
I have a roaming folder and a shogun folder... I don't think there is a Creative Assembly folder in between. I'm going to check it out. Btw, thanks for actually helping your subs and trying to solve things. It's very rare to see things like it nowadays.
Watauga  [author] 7 Dec, 2013 @ 7:11pm
@Wismar Do you have a Creative Assembly folder because my maps folder is in that folder, after Roaming.
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 7 Dec, 2013 @ 12:08pm
No custom maps work what so ever.
Watauga  [author] 7 Dec, 2013 @ 11:35am
@Wismar Well, do you have any other maps in the folder that work?
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 7 Dec, 2013 @ 8:38am
I have it in exactly the folder you told me to but it still doesn't show up :/
E:\Users\Hedlöf\AppData\Roaming\Shogun2\maps
elbo_941 2 Dec, 2013 @ 2:48am
i couldn't really see any confederate troops is it possible to get the us marines and just change their outfits to grey? that would deffinately be more realistic
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 17 Nov, 2013 @ 10:08am
Yeah I do have the folders on different drives...
OllieNicolson 14 Nov, 2013 @ 11:44am
It won't go on my thing
Watauga  [author] 10 Nov, 2013 @ 5:15pm
@chaselm10 The two units I used were Takidanto Infantry and US Infantry from Radious Unit Pack 3
OfficiallyLost 10 Nov, 2013 @ 1:49pm
How do you get the civil war skins for your troops?
c.gramiccia 8 Nov, 2013 @ 11:17am
Hi, to install the work shop, just subscribe? Where I could found in game?
marirvin 5 Nov, 2013 @ 6:56am
u guys tht are doing the civil war battle maps should get together and do an overhaul tht turns shogun2 into american civil war would be cool as my great great grandfather was in a brigade under longstreets command at the battle of chikamauga
Watauga  [author] 27 Oct, 2013 @ 11:17am
@Who Goes Thar I would make it a scripted historical battle if I knew how :P They have some tutorials on twcenter but I would have to dig through their forums to find them and I remember it looking quite complicated.
Watauga  [author] 27 Oct, 2013 @ 11:15am
@Wismar Sorry for a late response. I am not sure, if the map is in the maps folder than it should work. Do anyother maps you download work? because if not than its probably because your maps folder and Creative Assembly are on two different drives.
[1stMD.A] Vet. spartenmt1 26 Oct, 2013 @ 4:00pm
ya
Mashsmouth 24 Oct, 2013 @ 6:09pm
You should really make this a historical battle :D
[1stMD.A] Vet. spartenmt1 24 Oct, 2013 @ 2:37pm
LOL I LIVE HERE!!!
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 13 Oct, 2013 @ 9:31am
Uhm... The thing is that I don't have my steam games on the "C:" harddrive.
I have all my games on my second harddrive, called "E:" Exept the "Creative assembly" folder that contains the maps is on my "C:" drive. What should I do?? Thanks in advance :)
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 10 Oct, 2013 @ 11:22pm
Thanks for the reply!
Watauga  [author] 10 Oct, 2013 @ 6:51pm
@Wismar Sorry for a late reply. They should be in custom battles and this should be in land battles. Make sure you have a maps folder. Go to Computor and Local disk C and copy and past this link in the adress bar and it should bring up the maps folder. If it doesn't, delete where it says "Owner" and type the name of your user on your computor Copy and past this adress - C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps
Wismar (Ärkesvensk) 6 Oct, 2013 @ 5:13am
I have a problem with all of the maps in the steam workshop since they won't work for some reason. I click subscribe and the maps won't show up ingame. It's only the map mods that won't work. I have installed some uniform mods without problem but the maps won't work. Please help me.
Paranoid Android 22 Jul, 2013 @ 8:55am
Since it is the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg, could you make that?
Vindictus 13 Jul, 2013 @ 4:48pm
I used to live there too.
Czar Nicholas 17 Jun, 2013 @ 2:41pm
this is really cool cause i actually live in fredricksburg
Chinlee52 12 Jun, 2013 @ 5:30pm
im retarded for a while i thought fredricksburg was WWI because all the trench warfare maps....
Watauga  [author] 25 May, 2013 @ 4:45pm
Thanks, you can use the US Infantrymen in Radious Unit Pack 3 and another FOTS unit to take the place of the Confederates. I also recomend using the Artillery Unit Pack mod, which has some Civil War era artillery. Both of these mods can be found here in the workshop or on total war center.
SanDogTac 25 May, 2013 @ 3:13am
ah, ok, thanks Altairhw3; nice map!
Watauga  [author] 24 May, 2013 @ 8:34pm
This is just a map, not a mod, there are no units that come with this and I don't have any Union and Confederate units. I do recomend you use Radious Unit Pack 3, which adds many new FOTS units, but there are no Civil War units.
SanDogTac 24 May, 2013 @ 5:07pm
Where do i select the units (CSA and Union forces) that will participate in the battle? When i selec the custom battle/Fredericksburg, there are no units. Must i download them from someplace?
