If you are in interested, I just posted a wip text mod replacing XCOM mentions to G.I.Joe and Advent mentions to Cobra, and more. It had been posted privately in 2022 and I just changed the visibility. You might not notice it.

I'd say take that as a starter; then filter out some of the more specialized names for more generic ones.

The uniforms mods don't work with WotC. They are using using assets that are from vanilla. I working on a (better) WotC version that uses the 1 million colors mod. All flags work with torsos updated for WotC. Tattoos and mission names work fine.

They don't need to get ported. They all work. I use them regularly with WotC. The indicator just tells you that they had been made for vanilla.

Looking at your other mods for Xcom2, they look really sweet. I hope they get ported to WotC, I sure would use them. :)

Most users have numerous character classes from mods, which usually come wth their own set of nicknames. What could work, and maybe this is what you mean, is a mod like "Random nickname"

Many of the nicknames wouldn't have a calss to associate. What class is going to have Shipwreck, Zartan, Tomax, Xamont. A Colonel with the nickname Major Blood? You do it anyway. Just place them arbitrarily, the user would decide if they want to keep it or adjust it.

I like the idea, but nicknames are generally tied to soldier classes. Not sure it would work.

Rank names sound okay, but nicknames is where it is at. Random G.I. Joe inspired nicknames like, Quick Kick, Mind Bender, Snake Eyes, Lady Jay, etc... Make a mod that does that or incorporate it into this one. If only an artist wold make a mod that allows for G.I. Joe like Cosmetics. Make the whole Joe or Cobra team. :)
