Sorry it took so long, had to reinstall the new modbuddy, relearn it all and find old files. This version renamed to Legacy and new version for WOTC created. I'm about to play now to test, any comments let me know.

After testing this, it seems the changes doesn't affect the TLP blades, can someone else confirm?

for some reason all my mods seem to work on the new launcher, except for this one, it just for some reason dont show up on my mod list

Sounds like 2K messed up the launcher. I personally used the one in the files, not sure if it still works, hopefully 2K will fix soon... XCOM_2_Folder/Binaries/Win64/Launcher

hmmm xcom 2 was just updated with the 2k launcher, and this mod doesnt show up there.. Any ideas what the problem might be?

As far as I know. Test it out once you get to 2nd level of tech and you will see the difference.

@Lord Neccy - Primarily because it can never match the power of a Shotgun with Critical hits and potentially 2 shots with Rapid Fire, (not to mention the attachments that give free shots/instant kills etc) and the problem that charging enemies with the Sword is likely to draw further pods. With a Shotgun you'll likely find good cover first so this isn't as much a problem. This mod seeks to help with the poor damage scaling as the game progresses for the Sword, see my next mod, out soon to help somewhat with this.

Back in base XCOM2 with a Vortex Katana on a Shinobi, you could stay concealed the entire mission while killing every single enemy on your first turn

Dunno why people keep saying the sword isn't good. With the damage breakthrough for it and Blademaster Momentum mod and Rend the Lost mod the sword is great at clearing trash Lost and taking out trash enemies, especially with Reaper, Untouchable, and Implaceable
