Sorry. Yeah, I haven't been on Space Engineers in some time. I'll see if I can update it soon.

seems like there is a plant or tree model missing. my planet is littered with pink cubes.
Wazoo117 13 Mar, 2018 @ 10:01pm
Could this be used with the uranium ore removal?

My bad, I see that there is a radius at the south pole with no vegatation, but there is vegatation right at the North pole. Therefore, is it possible to mimic the no vegatation radius at both poles and increase them? If not, no worries. I'll survive ....... barely lol
Molten Carnage 10 Jan, 2018 @ 6:26pm
Love it. Makes more sense. Just 2 things bug me about it (I know, I'm sorry. Where do I get off complaining about something I get for free). Is there a way to make the North pole and South pole a little more realistic? I know it's not Earth, but is there a way to remove all vegitation in a radius around the North and South poles? The other is, is it possible to make large bodies of sea level ice (since we can't have water) in certain elevations? I had a thought of spawning perfectly smooth ice spheres and trying to mimic seas or oceans but something tells me that it won't work.

Heatmap: a map showing hotter and cooler regions of an area - in this case, used to create custom biomes (desert, woodland, arctic, etc...). Heightmap: a map showing variations in height. If I’d used a different heightmap, it wouldn’t work with the vanilla scenarios. So, it’s not a lie... you just need to better read or understand English.
entspeak  [author] 19 Dec, 2017 @ 10:05am
I’m wondering if this involves the fact that, for some, English is a second language. A “heatmap” is not a “heightmap.”
gornyakmaniac 19 Dec, 2017 @ 5:01am
"It uses a procedurally generated heatmap" - it's a lie, heightmaps actually the same as on vanilla earthlike planet
entspeak  [author] 8 Dec, 2017 @ 5:08am
And just because I created something procedurally, doesn’t mean that SE uses procedural generation on that thing. The only thing that SE procedurally generates with regard to planets is the ore distribution.
entspeak  [author] 8 Dec, 2017 @ 5:02am
You don’t seem to know what procedural generation is and how it differs from random generation. When you look that up, come back and ask a question that isn’t silly.
Rhea.licious 7 Dec, 2017 @ 10:41pm
But does that mean that the climate regions are random?
entspeak  [author] 7 Dec, 2017 @ 10:32pm
It doesn’t have a procedurally generated heightmap - you read that wrong... it says HEATmap. And, even if it did, the answer would be no... I have used procedurally generated heightmap for other worlds... but they were generated in other software and not SE.
Rhea.licious 7 Dec, 2017 @ 7:47pm
If this has a procedurally generated heightmap, does that mean that every time you spawn in the planet it will be different?

Oh. I've made a Moon vanilla replacement, I'm working on the Galilean moons, so I'll be doing Europa. But the changes to this mod won't work with other vanilla planets because the changes are specific to and based on the terrain of the Earthlike.
Quarior 20 Oct, 2017 @ 12:46pm
I said for Mars, Moon, Titan, Alien and Europa.
entspeak  [author] 18 Oct, 2017 @ 6:48pm
I believe there are other Earthlike mods that do things like remove ore spots that can be used for comparison or other stuff. I will be doint a no ore spots vanilla replacement mod for this, and that's about it.
Quarior 18 Oct, 2017 @ 8:46am
@entspeak, are your planet for other vanilla system and if you can make a mod without replacement for compare planets in game (or other utilisation) ?
entspeak  [author] 12 Oct, 2017 @ 1:19pm
It's says in the title, Earthlike... I would think that implies that it is based on the Earthlike world. Nobody should be expecting oceans on this planet. The vanilla Earthlike doesn't have oceans. I would make a note of it if I added them, but I'm not going to make a note about not having something that wasn't there in the first place. I made a note of the things I changed.
Ozuf 12 Oct, 2017 @ 12:28pm
@entspeak - I think that's completely fine and perhaps you should make a note of it in the description? Personally though, I do think an ocean would serve a purpose - if nothing else but to deal with it
entspeak  [author] 11 Oct, 2017 @ 4:14pm
@TheProcrastinator - the vanilla Earthlike has no oceans. This wasn't an attempt to make an Earthlike with oceans. Big oceans only look cool from space - and are pretty useless for gameplay purposes.
PyreStarite 11 Oct, 2017 @ 3:48pm
1/10 no oceans.
Thorn Blackwell 11 Oct, 2017 @ 9:01am
Awesome! :)
entspeak  [author] 11 Oct, 2017 @ 8:14am
I normally don't use ore spots - I like to use that channel to create subtle albedo shading for the planet, but because this was a replacement for a vanilla planet, I didn't want to hobble new players. I will have a vanilla replacement version with no ore spots up soon. :)
Thorn Blackwell 11 Oct, 2017 @ 4:16am
A version without the ore spots would be preffered ... I like to play without them, but newer players would probably have some trouble. I don't think a lot of mod authors realize this when they make some of their planets, and it's getting harder to keep people playing this game. Just whe it is getting better (except maybe the last couple of patches) we may be playing by ourselves, not because of the multi-player code but because there is nobody we know playing.

Thank you! :steamhappy:
entspeak  [author] 10 Oct, 2017 @ 5:39am
Sure.
Zóar 10 Oct, 2017 @ 1:14am
Hi @entspeak, could you remove the ore spots or make a version without them?
