Is it save compatible? After I enabled it and loaded the save, leader's icon who has 5 rank changed to 5 stars, but max skill level is still: Skill level: 5/5 . I use it with Leader Overhaul , but without Levels addon as the author doesn't support it anymore. I checked every define file and no other mod changes these defines.

Great mod! About damn time leaders became actually useful ^^. Governors in particular have huge impact on pop resource generation, so every additional level matters. Now if we could just find a way to level up generals properly ^^. In my last game I conquered literally the entire galaxy including three FE with the same general, and he barely made it to level 6 after taking over several dozen planets and obliterating hundreds of opposing armies... -.-

Yeah. You can still run it. It just gives you a warning when you load it up. That's just there in case of potential problems. Not that there any at all. IT's a Cover-Your-Ass warning. :)

Actually, selecting the mod in Stellaris's launcher tells me that the mod is supported for 1.8.0 only :/ so...... :D

The example screenshot was made with a few other mods installed, including Plentiful Traditions. Legendary Heroes currently adds only one Ascension Perk, and does not alter Traditions in any way.

If you're using Legendary Heroes and no other mods, you'll have access to the seven Traditions available in vanilla. You gain access to a new Ascension Perk every time you finish one of these seven tradition trees, and there's a rare tech which unlocks the eighth and final slot.

What are you talking about?

The level cap is supposed to be 5 at the beginning of the game, unless you have civics/species traits that increase it. If you don't, you can increase it using the techs introduced by this mod.

The vanilla techs "Selected Lineages" and "Capability Enhancers" give you access to government policies that also increase your level cap. Egalitarian factions won't like these policies, Authoritarian factions will.

The perk already improves xp gain by 20%, as well as improving leader lifespan by 20 years, making the higher levels more attainable.

I'm still not sure if +5 is too big an increase to the level cap, and I may end up reducing it after playtesting.

The acendency perk seems unattractive as is. Assuming you have retained vanilla exp progression the last few possible levels will take a very long time to acheive. Haveing that much more cap early on as a perk only ends up only being useful to certain builds that are barred from the full range of vanilla cap increses.

I would say split it between level cap increase and exp gain. say +3 level and 20%.

Otherwise i like it.

I really dig this mod idea! I've always had a fondness for extra level mods to pair with my immortal workers and long-run games, but they always either answered the balance issue with each level being much weaker or by not addressing it at all and getting op as heck. Anyway, can't wait to give this a shot.
