No, when they are in transport they seem to have surrendered, but continue to fire. But if you pull the crew out of the vehicle with Zeus's help, then it already surrenders. I didn't figure out about the crew settings, maybe I just didn't notice them

Are they locked inside the vehicle? They are supposed to disembark when they surrender. Maybe I should make a setting to disable surrendering vehicle crews

Cool mod, but there is a problem with the equipment. I play with Zeus and through it I see that the transport crew (APC, BMP, etc.) has surrendered (in Zeus it glows purple), but at the same time continues to shoot at enemy units. At the same time, the enemy considers them to have surrendered and does not attack the transport, even when it fires at them

@Herr Escher The script uses the ACE surrender mecahanic. I experimentet with creating my own but ACE is just so much more useful

@Octopuss When a unit flees, the side of all units within a (configurable) radius around them is checked. If there are more (known) enemies than friendlies in that radius and fewer friendlies than 2 he will surrender

Hi ZluskeN, nice mod for add the realism in combat.
I have a question: the number of surrendering occur to AI default is 2, that means if there are only 1 man left he will surrender am i right? but i'm confused that number is for the entire mission? or the squad or team he belong, or map section (e.g last man in 100㎡)?
i tested in editor, official missions, workshop scenarios, but didn't get a clue
anyway this mod is brilliant,thx for the work!

it should work fine with Lambs Danger, I haven't tested with Crows Zeus Addons but I see it has some surrender features that may cause issues. The most common reason why the AI won't surrender is because they aren't currently fleeing, they will only flee if they get in a prolonged firefight and take casualties. Their enemies also need to be close, you can set surrender distance in the settings menu.

I should probably speak more generically and say that I've isolated the issue to just ace3, cba, and Hors de Combat installed, in a test Zeus mission created in editor.

I've been having an issue with this mod installed. The issue is that, when playing the mission DUWS_X v3.05 with ace3, if I (the host/game master) fall unconscious, I get moved into the purple "injured" affiliation. After this point, even if I am revived and healed completely, enemies will not shoot at or acknowledge me.

If I disable only this mod, the issue disappears (my affiliation is not changed if I fall unconscious, and after I am resuscitated, enemies will perceive me)

I was quite happy to see that this mod got some updates but again I had no luck. I'm playing with ACE's medical system and after I installed this mod I had an upright-standing but unconscious AI soldier on the battlefield. I checked him as a medic and think he surrendered because his G3 was lying on the ground. And he got shot by the enemy though all the time. Strange stuff.
Maybe both are not 100% compatible. That's sad; I like the idea of this mod very much.

This is a beautiful and very necessary addition and should have been part of the basic Arma. Finally the enemy can give up and finally my A.I. does not should them although they are unable to fight anymore. The ICC would love this and so do I. Thanks!

I use lambs with this mod but better off that they just surrender instead of fleeing when doing "kill all" objectives for missions. :jake::steamthumbsup:

They will only surrender if they are in a "fleeing" state, so most of the time they need to be fired upon for a bit before they realize they should surrender. That reminds me, the fleeing mechanic is completely broken in vanilla so ACE is a requirement as of todays update

Placed an entire Mechanized Infantry squad and a little FIA guy in the middle, but he still started shooting. With no mods except CBA and ACE. Settings were max for distance and 1 for the ammount of people where they will start surrendering. Not sure, but I dont think this is supposed to happen XD.

@ZluskeN We really like the entire mod, but unfortunately AntiStasi sets surrendered units to civilian and disables AI abilities like "target". Your script will then cycle on that civilian and the AI will retrieve their weapon and either freeze or run around harmlessly due to their disabled AI abilities.
None of the CBA settings combinations have been able to prevent this entirely.
There could be a window there for you to make this mod compatible with AntiStasi, otherwise, I'd love to just have the weapon dropping feature of this mod standalone!

@Jinkis there is a setting called "Units Drop Weapons" under "Addon Options" > "ZluskeN Hors de Combat" to disable dropping weapons, would that work for you? If not let me know what you need more specifically and I will see what I can do.

@ouchthathurt They kind of already do, the unit will surrender when he has too few units around him belonging to his own side, unconscious units are side civilian so they do not count towards this. If you want to increase his chance of surrendering based on some condition I would script something that increases his allowFleeing value

Having it as a standalone option would also prevent an AntiStasi issue whereby surrendered AI will attempt to retrieve their weapons and freeze when they do, due to their AI traits being disabled.
