You could always try adding a click of front wing and lowering the rear tow a little, but this will make the rear unstable in the fast bends.

Really!? With 4 3 wings and 8 ballast? Sure it's not the way you enter the corners? If Throttle control and selected gear is out of whack then that can cause understeer. Are you using assists?

Only thing I can possibly do is work on some Mercedes setups if your McLaren is pretty much maxed out and see the difference in handling. Bare with me man and I'll have a look for you.

i´m freaking out - my mclaren, 6th season is nearly maxxed out on upgrades - i should have in qualifyings at least a top 3 starting grid, but fact now i´m on every track 1 second slower as Alonso, which doesn´t allow me to qualify for the 2nd or 3rd round...
the handling for me on corners is really a pain for me now, which it wasn´t from season 1-4 for me...
i´m using a xbox360 controller - maybe thats the issue?
do i need other setups for controller?

No worries man, glad it worked for you! Brakes are always going to be the thing that has to be adjusted for the individual, I'm a trail braker so that's why the bias is normally forward based, but I do find on tracks like China/Malaysia a brake bias of 56 or 57 with pressure of around 72% works a charm.

Nice Setup (Wheel user). Needed to change the Break Bias to 59% to stop myself from locking up.
Took me some time to let just let the car roll into apex and then gently apply the trottle again, but in the end it worked great.

After-race report. Yes first points are in the pocket!!! Got 7th place with a 1:35.000 as fast lap. I did manage to have quickest 1st sector. Up to Russia now...

What I use depends on how long of a session I am planning. If it's a long one I'll use my controller, if it's shorter races I'll use my wheel. The force feedback of a wheel can really tire you out if used too long ha!

Oh i fortgot, the time. 1:36.296 and some room for inprovement. No i still dont know how you ride... Stear weel? controller, keyboard...?

Hey Flemish! Top tip for you! Stay away from the harder tyre if you can and try and stretch your stints out longer on the softer tyre, I never really felt any problems with the tyre's until they got to the 55% mark if not higher on certain tracks. As long as you're consistantly kind on turn in and not entering corners sideways every lap it should be easy to stretch out each stint by 3+ laps on the softest compound and 5+ laps on the middle compound. Which can save you a pitstop over a race distance of 50% or more ;) High tyre wear tracks like Spain and Brazil are a bit harder to manage but the principle remains the same.

AGAIN yet a very stable and long term minded setup. Got purple on ALL my simulation programs and finished 12th at the end of P1. I did changed all the parts of the power unit... forgot the time i got. I think it was around 1:36... not sure. I'l be using P2 and P3 as practice. Exact time from P1 in next post. This will give me a good position at the end of the race, i can feel that right now. I will follow the engineers projected race strategy this time...
