Update here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2185504712
Sorry for not posting this earlier, Steam wouldn't let me comment
Zephyrum  [author] 24 Jul, 2020 @ 8:02pm
Yeah, I'm aware. Just generally a pain to deal with. I'll do it in the near future and I'll comment here when it happens.
AsterParadox 24 Jul, 2020 @ 7:43pm
A common solution I've seen for that, Zephyrum is to upload a new mod within the workshop and mark this one as obsolete, directing that one to there.
Zephyrum  [author] 24 Jul, 2020 @ 2:54pm
I did update the files, but didn't upload because I haven't tested it yet and the whole paradox patcher being a clown show. Unbelievably, it doesn't think the mod is mine. >:(
Atlas 24 Jul, 2020 @ 10:32am
So, is the mod updated yet?
Zephyrum  [author] 20 Jul, 2020 @ 1:06pm
After checking the files, this is actually updatable with little issue compared to my other mods. gonna do it now, I guess.
Wotan von Edelsburg 20 Jul, 2020 @ 10:03am
All right, take your time.
Zephyrum  [author] 20 Jul, 2020 @ 9:06am
We didn't take the time to update this yet, but we don't intend to abandon it. Been busy.
Wotan von Edelsburg 20 Jul, 2020 @ 9:03am
Is this still being updated or is there a current version for the Austria Update and the minor updates 1.30.3?
Zephyrum  [author] 15 Jan, 2020 @ 1:54pm
I don't have any plans on making a mod that touches up the Timurids and assists it's implosion, I'm afraid.
KillWonder 15 Jan, 2020 @ 4:11am
Something that will raise unrest.
Zephyrum  [author] 14 Jan, 2020 @ 5:26pm
You mean a mod breaking them into cores?
KillWonder 14 Jan, 2020 @ 8:57am
Can you also make one for the Timurids?
Zephyrum  [author] 11 Dec, 2019 @ 12:39pm
Figured how the patcher works at last, mod updated on Steam to 1.29
Zephyrum  [author] 17 Sep, 2019 @ 8:06am
Mod is updated on Paradox Plaza, but due to the new patcher being shit, the Steam update will take a bit longer: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/mod-the-collapse-of-the-ming.1037352/
Zephyrum  [author] 16 Sep, 2019 @ 7:58am
Small PSA: There's been a major change to how mods are downloaded in the new patch, to be coming tomorrow; you might want to read this:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?forums/europa-universalis-iv.731/

As for this mod, it should be updated tomorrow!
Imperator Delta 29 Jul, 2019 @ 1:33pm
the ming always explode. I don't know why. Also, I play with the OP trigger collapse mod.

don't judge me.
Master Exploder 13 Jan, 2019 @ 11:32am
nvm solved it myself, I deleted all the mods in my folder and resubscribed to them, for some reason it fixed itself.
Zephyrum  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 11:12am
Odd bug. Can you tell me what Ming's government is?
Master Exploder 13 Jan, 2019 @ 10:55am
i have all dlc btw
Master Exploder 13 Jan, 2019 @ 10:55am
It's in a normal game with no other non ironman mods, things like enhanced gfx and banner flags. When i started the game as jianzhou one of the first things i went to do was offer to become a ming tributary but there was only the option to make them mine, so i just ignored it and thought maybe they'd offer it to me and i went about conquering haixi and yeren but eventually i was declared war on by ming without having received any offers for tributary.
Zephyrum  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 9:48am
Can you give more information? Are you playing the bookmark or a normal game? Any other mods?
Master Exploder 13 Jan, 2019 @ 3:00am
Is it intentional that i can't become a tributary of Ming? It's stopping me from playing as Jianzhou.
Your mother 20 Dec, 2018 @ 4:48pm
Thanks a lot! I can"t live in a world were ming doesn't explode putting China into complete chaos.
Zephyrum  [author] 18 Dec, 2018 @ 5:59am
Hello guys. I'm releasing an update for 1.28 right as we speak for this mod. However, it's worth noting that I've got no current plans to work on it further, largely lack of patience to handle troubleshooting and updating a mod, specially under the complete mess that is EU4's development nowadays.

There's an odd chance I come back to this project later, but for now, I'm too uninterested to do more than update and bug fix, and the rest of the team is even less so than I am. Similarly to what happened to another mod of mine, I'm more than willing to leave this one for "adoption" to anyone who wants to continue it's development, provided said person contacts me beforehand.

Anyway, if you just want your healthy dose of Ming-Be-Gone, you've got nothing to worry about. Go enjoy your mingless experience!
_Phobics 29 Oct, 2018 @ 5:48am
There is 1 major mistake, you doubled his unrest but basically made other factors that harmed him at low mandate better, for example fire/shock damage is now 25% and normally its 50%, i think that is kind of stupid
Zephyrum  [author] 13 Oct, 2018 @ 5:07pm
I don't really have many plans right now. During a test period in university and the more recent EU4 updates have really been massive killjoys.
JgarnO 13 Oct, 2018 @ 3:28pm
Are you planning to add new Missions? Or maybe give the Ming missions to the new nations?
Zephyrum  [author] 10 Oct, 2018 @ 3:47pm
I'll give a look into it later in a test run. Thanks for the report. If you have any other information, it'd be helpful.
Shaeris 10 Oct, 2018 @ 1:25pm
The only other mod I have on is one that changes the color/texture of the water. I can't imagine that having any interference though.
Zephyrum  [author] 9 Oct, 2018 @ 8:10pm
That's odd. Do you have any other mods on?
Shaeris 9 Oct, 2018 @ 6:33pm
Oh, yeah sure thing.

@Shaeris can you provide a screenshot or more detail?
Shaeris 9 Oct, 2018 @ 3:48pm
Hey, just wanted to let you know there's a little bug with the "Reform the Succession Laws" decision. It claims the prerequisite of reshaping bureaucratic ranks isn't fulfilled, when I've done it and gotten everything else it expects of you.

Otherwise, great mod! It really made the early game fun to have to fight your way into reshaping the empire. ^^
SacredDatura 7 Oct, 2018 @ 9:17am
Had a look at the Mandate effects in the vanilla 00_static_modifiers vs 0ctm_static_modifiers, it kinda seems like you've actually made Ming a bit less useless overall at low Mandate - you've doubled their unrest, but +10 unrest is still trivial to deal with. (I did some brief testing and +15-20 unrest seems to do the job better.)

And halving their extra fire and shock received means low-mandate Ming's armies are not as papery as they should be - they are still huge compared to any upstart tributary so they can still throw their weight around quite effectively by sheer numbers alone.
Zephyrum  [author] 1 Oct, 2018 @ 7:24am
The Collapse of the Ming is now updated for 1.27 "Poland" patch!
Zephyrum  [author] 27 Sep, 2018 @ 6:56pm
A new update is out with several new features:

-Tag Zhou is now available by the Collapsed Bookmark with their own National Ideas;
-Increased compatibility massively - should now work with most mods, provided they don't change China much;
-Fixed non-bookmark Ming not being Empire Rank;
-Taking the Mandate is no longer a suicidal move; you get a grace bonus to your Mandate after taking the decision;
-New decision for fully reformed Emperors to reform the succession laws and end the infighting.
Zephyrum  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 6:03pm
This has been updated for 1.26 "Mughals" Patch after several hours of intense modding and some more of cursing at Paradox for their "amazing" job on making governments hell on earth to mod. Happy mingsploding, and don't forget to name all your 0/0/0 rulers "Jake".
Zephyrum  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 3:29pm
Heads up. We're essentially done with updating this, just squashing some bugs. For some reason the Warring States mechanic is working with the DLC Dharma, but not without it. I will attempt to get it working for everyone and see if I can upload a 1.26 version still today. If not, probably tomorrow, which is a national holiday here. Happy mingsploding.
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:40am
That is true, but that also applies to all of the rest of Europe also in that map since many provinces get split into 2 smaller provinces retaining the total dev of the original province.( a 4/4/2 being split to 2/2/1's etc.)

Tho truth is, another reason i always like to have BT running, even if im in an area that i dont need it(like when i do my Manchu runs since China is untouched in that mod withou the addon since i dont use that addon ever) is cuz i also have the Byz resurgance mod running even if im not playing as Byz myself cuz i find that mod gives them a much higher chance to survive and even prosper even as the AI

Hell one game not too long ago i was even shocked to see AI Byz attacking the Ottomans pre-emptively in the year 1449 with just Serbia as its ally and actually winning which is something i NEVER saw in Vanilla.
Zephyrum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:32am
There's the catch that 2 1/1/1s are better than one 2/2/2 though, due to faster troop recruitment and base values for TP and such.
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:28am
I personally always found Anatolia's wealth to be underwhelming in that mod since most all provinces are mostly 1/1/1 with a few exceptions(mostly the Anatolian region surrounding the Bosphorus) but the special Byz Cb you get against the Ottomans can basically give you all of the Balkans in one offensive war and most of anatolia in a 2nd Offensive war(only if they only have Anatolian lands left in that second war to reset the Special CB to Anatolia from the Balkans)
Zephyrum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:20am
Glad to see you enjoy both of our projects :)

We're giving most of our effort to Photea as of late, since Collapse of Ming is a bit of a completed mod with only nuances to be added in the future.

I, too, appreciate Byzantine Resurgence a lot due to the plentiful content it adds, however I'm not a big fan of BT - mostly because it overrates Anatolia's wealth. Both Byzantium and the Ottomans are just bound to blob unstoppably on that map, and taking control of the Byzantine heartlands takes more wars than it should due to higher total warscore cost.
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:16am
K, No prob, ill wait.

Didnt even notice your the same one who did Photea, as that was the first mod that i played for Eu4 as Vanilla Byz was so booooring and Byz is one of my 2 favorite nations to play(Jianzhou/Manchu/Qing being the other) but have since been using Byzantine Resurgence since it goes with BT which is a mod i mostly always play with now(unless playing an American Colonizer cuz not a fan of what that mod does to the Caribean) but now that ive seen Photea has a new recent update, i will likely give that mod another run when i do my next Byz run(with the rate of how quickly i tend to start new games, probably wont take that long before i do haha)

Anyways, good job so far with both mods and look forward to your post Dharma updates :)
Zephyrum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:13am
It's out. Pre-Dharma minor fixes:
-Morale from Mandate now works as intended.
-Coal added to four provinces*.
-Minor name change to one of Shun's ideas.

*When RB dropped out, we never actually added the Coal to our province histories. Oops.
Zephyrum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:09am
It shouldn't, but if you want to be safe, the patch should drop in the next 5 minutes.
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:03am
Will this bugfix patch affect save games because i was JUST about to start a new game at this moment
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:02am
yup, i was just about to come back here to post that as i had just noticed and fixed that myself :)
Zephyrum  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:01am
Thank you for the report. I've identified the issue - wrong syntax. Morale, in the code, is land_morale, while in the files we wrote it off as "morale_of_armies".

I've been meaning to do a minor bugfix patch for Collapse of Ming before Dharma drops out. Since my other projects are a bit stalled right now, I'll fix that and some other stuff in a bit.
salatrin 26 Aug, 2018 @ 2:56am
I dont think the 10% morale boost is working for having more then 50 mandate.

Not only does it NOT show up in the mandate tooltip, but at the beginning of the game, when Ming has 60 mandate at start, with the way mandate scales things, they should at 60 mandate have a current 2% boost to army morale right? but when i go into the ledger and army composition and hover over their 2.63 starting morale, there is no 2% for mandate being added into the their base 2.5 morale(2.5 base, power projection 3.2%, prestige 0.5%, and army tradition 1.7% which equals 2.6369 rounded down to 2.63 morale) if the additional 2% from having 60 mandate was included it would give them 2.68 morale which it doesnt.
