"the norsca mod" that you're talking about is the main mod. You need that, can't do anything about that I'm afraid. If you only want rivers then you can download this mod here, and the main mod.

I click subscribe, it says I also need the norsica mod. I click to subscribe to the norsica mod and that one says I need like 10 more mods.

@Panfilo Actually, it IS possible to put monsters, siege equipment etc. on walls! Check out Kraka Drak. Anyway, we've been experimenting with bridges like that. Units behave differently on walls than on normal terrain though, of course. So it will be a while before we know how well it works.

Weird question: Would it be possible to eventually add destructible bridges, by using a stretch of castle wall to function as a bridge and simply making both sides impassible along the span? Say similar to the current layout (so there's always an alternate path if it gets blocked).

It would be really cool if there were some bridge maps where the most direct path was restricted to infantry (since monstrous creatures/war machines/cavalry can't stand on walls) but that span, since it was technically 'wall' sections, could be possibly demolished by artillery. I'd love to see a map where a bunch of goblins say hello to the volcano god when a grudge thrower collapses the span over a lava river they are crossing!

Its a nice mod but, i got so much river and bridge maps, even if river ar far from armies on campaign map, the battle then is on river or on bridge. I started new campaign and had only one plain battle for 4 on rivers. And i feel, because of buildings, the maps feel like you fight always at the same place. But its a nice try anyway. Continue that good work.

@J-S Flying units ignore the height of water as far as I know. So the only way would be to not make the land under the water too low.

Is it possible though to add vanguard deployment to those maps?
Also, is there a way to make flying units move over deep water? So far, they seem to fly underwater.

You should probably enable the other GCCMs, at least the main one. Otherwise you'll continue to crash.

I had to disable this mode because it made the game crash whenever the AI initiated battle on me on the campaign map. Also, it crashed the game whenever I wanted to start a custom battle from the main menu.

The lack of strategic options like choosing to fight an enemy over a river is really the main flaw of this game, so it really saddens me that I can't play this mod :/ . For reference, I don't have the other GCCMs enabled.

Some of the Norscan maps are bugged, they try to send their units below the capture point on one of them.

I've tried downloading this but the only thing that downloads is the gccm rivers png and not the pack file. AM i doing something wrong? The bar doesn't move at all and I've tried doing what you've written

@af17317596 Have you tried resubscribing? If so, try the following:

1. Delete the pack file from your data folder.
2. Fully shut down your computer, then start it back up.
3. Delete your steam workshop cache.

i loaded all of the map mods, started a grand campaign, they were working and fun, saved the game, played again the next night and none of the new maps are showing? is this a common issue?

So that's actually -exactly- the same issue that I had. Mine was on a CA map though, so I'm not sure what we could do to fix it. Were you standing really close to the border of the map, in order to intercept the reinforcements?

I actually had this issue on a CA map a few days ago. Did the enemy have reinforcements? What does the balance of power say? I had some enemy units stuck on the border of the map, they didnt count towards the number of enemies, but they did cause the battle to be stuck..

To add further depth to the issue... This was a battle where the enemy was being reinforced, however it appears that a zombies unit is seemingly stuck at the reinforce point; they are visually appearing however have not physically entered the battle!

Not sure if this issue has been reported previously, but I've just done my first river battle in the campaign map; essentially won the battle, however the battle won't end. There are 0 enemies left, however the battle hasn't ended and there is no timer going down to enable the battle to 'force' it to finish either.

after the 2.8mb hotfix seems like this mod once again is making the game crash for me during battles. I'll de-sub and sub again to see if it fixes the problem.
