Seems to still works (random election for republics-mine and AI)
but broke the savonarole chains of events...
The file are .bin, not text
So i don't have the skill for trying fixing myself... Any help? ^^

As far as I can tell, this still works with 1.30.*. (Tested with Genoa and killing my leader several times with the console.) It even works with the tier 2 government reform "Political Dynasties" which gives +1 random candidate bonus.
This bonus is never wasted on a 6-skill ruler, either, since this mod first gives you a 0/0/0 then randomly adds stats to it—up to a max of 5 (not 6) in it's focused stat category.

Update? It doesn't work with any republic as of 1.30

I am somewhat unfamiliar with pirate republics. Perhaps they use a different event file for elections. At the moment I don't have time to check the files.

Hey, I was playing a game as iceland (BT 11) of all people, became a pirate republic, and noticed that they didn't get randomized? which really sucked, cause I was liking the variety of stats

That's a bummer. As far as I remeber, it used to work with ET. Damn mod conflicts. No worries. Great mod you made here.

@SamRexil
I don't know. ET changes a lot of the base game, so generally unless the mod is specifically designed to work with ET, then it is very likely to be broken by mod conflicts.
Rexil 23 Jan, 2019 @ 7:55pm
Is this mod not compatible with ET?
reddbane  [author] 23 Jan, 2019 @ 3:54pm
@SamRexil
Most likely a mod conflict. Check to see if any of your others mods replace the Elections event.

It isn't working whilst playing as Milan with the Ambrosian Republic

wish teddy would've won, he would've put those frenchmen right in their place at the treaty of versailles

@Sukkrak
I do not know. I thought they was only available to the Prussian Monarchy, normally. I suppose, the most logical conclusion would be it would add that bonus to the initial 0 0 0 result, and then the dice roll result would add on top of that.
Sukkrak 29 Oct, 2017 @ 7:20am
does the ideas which affect monarch points effect this?

@Sonya Blade
The 1912 U.S. Election: when Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Eugene V. Debs were the major candidates. We were spoiled with good candidates back then.

is dat wilson at thumbnail?
reddbane  [author] 27 Sep, 2017 @ 11:41am
@Drakomis
The message says 0 0 0, but if you check to government tab they should show you the new (true) results (because of the way the dice rolls work, they add bonus to a 0 0 0 leader). At least that is how the mod works since the last time I checked it with a clean install, which was August. If Paradox updated the files since then there might be a problem, but then the mod should have a red exclamation next to it in the launcher as out of date. If it is out of date then I'll have to schedule time to update it.
Drakomis 27 Sep, 2017 @ 5:09am
The Mod doesn't work, at all. Every election thus far has had a 0-0-0-0 canidate. Typically two or, perhaps, three elections of this result would be coincidence. But *eight elections thus far with a 0-0-0-0 Canidate* implies something is wrong here.

Gonna try it and get back to you. Sounds great though,

I just wanted to know if everyone is happy with the mod? How is your experiences with it? Does it feel well balanced?
