Update: 17 Aug @ 7:03pm

Another content/ bug fixing update released! Here's a list of what's been added and changed:

- DOOM BOTS, sweepers, John hireling, all 3 types of the arena troops, and every variant of hank can now be modded without affecting the normal version of TOM!

- fixed some characters not showing up in staircase 23

- Adjusted the Camera angle and and bullet block walls in floor 16.

- Changed the lighting in staircase 17

- You now drop down into floor 20 and floor 20 alt instead of going though a door.

- The Davy Crockett has been tweaked to be more usable! The sweet spot is now an indicator of whether or not you're within the nuke's blast radius; If the sweet spot is going through a wall, you're in its blast radius!

- added a funny in floor 7

- added a funny at floor 5

- Fixed an issue on staircase 10 where you could phase through the wall at the top of the staircase

- Added another door to the building at the beginning of the level called "RANDOM". This door will take you to a random floor within the tower. The purpose of this room is to experiment with new features to use in future updates.

- The barriers responsible for stopping NPCs from falling to their death in floor 13 have been tweaked to stop them from climbing to the top and NOTHING else. barriers also no longer affect you as well.

- The platform in floor 11 has been tweaked to where you can shoot enemies from the bottom level (and even jump to the top if your character can jump!)

- fixed an issue in staircase 18 to where you can fall through the 4th wall.

- Secrets have been shuffled.

With this new update now out, along with a new modpack, a good majority of my attention will be focused on working on section 2 in the Tower of MADNESS. With that being said, future weekly updates will not be as large as the past ones have for the time being, but regardless, I greatly appreciate anyone and everyone who are reporting issues found while playing TOM.

Have a good week yall!

Update: 10 Aug @ 11:36pm

A quick, emergency hot-fix for a major problem identified following the recent update. Here's what's been changed:

- Every character from the "Tower of MADNESS modded" stage was visible in the playground character select station, which caused a bunch of characters from other mods to suddenly disappear. these characters from the custom stage should now be hidden.

massive apologies to anyone who came across this problem while playing.

Update: 10 Aug @ 7:36pm

A regular update for the Tower of MADNESS released! a list of what's been added, changed, and fixed will be provided shortly...

- basic mod support has been added! A new version of TOM has been added to be able to use community-made mods specific for the custom level. As of right now, the only thing that can be modded are the enemies themselves, which can either be modified or replaced entirely. A tutorial on how to make your own mods for TOM will come at a later date.

- A new weapon has been added within the secret weapons found in TOM; The explosive crossbow! It can be found between floor 5 - 10. so keep an eye out for it!

- Squadmates will no longer walk into hazards or fall off the stage in floors 8, 13, 15, and all variants of floor 19. Keep in mind, these changes do not affect NPC squadmates who have their default control set to "player". An example of this are your arena characters,

- Reduced the number of Cyber Bandit Brutes in floor 18.

- Widened the solid platforms in floor 18.

- Improved the texturing for all variants of floor 19.

- Removed the DOOM bots in the surface level of floor 19.

- Fixed a collision issue in floor 9 that stopped players from using certain doors.

- Reduced the number of enemies showing up on floor 23.

- fixed a collision issue that stopped players and enemies from jumping at a certain height in floor 15.

- you can now exit the checkpoint rooms from the entrance you came from!

- Fixed an issue in the outside tower section (the bottom of the cliff you jump from) where weapons you drop will fall through the ground.

I wanna give a massive shoutout to everyone in the MPN discord server who playtested TOM and reported any and all problems they found while playing it. There will be more bug fixes to come as I wasn't able to cram all of them into this week's update, but regardless yall have a good week!

Update: 6 Aug @ 7:10pm

A quick hotfix for an issue introduced by the previous hotfix. here's what's been changed:

- Fixed an issue on floor 12 in which the slopes that guided you to the bottom were visible.

This should be the last hotfix for the week before next sunday's update comes around. I've got some good stuff planned for this week's update, so be sure to keep your eyes out.

Update: 4 Aug @ 9:10pm

A quick hotfix update to patch some bugs found while playtesting. Here's a list of what's been fixed:

- fixed a problem in floor 12 in which an invisible wall would get you stuck on one side of the arena, ultimately softlocking you.

- Fixed a problem in staircases 14 -18 and floor 14 - 16 in which mag-sized characters would instantly die upon entering the room.

- fixed a texturing issue at the beginning stage.

have a good week yall!

Update: 3 Aug @ 8:44pm

Another small, bug fixing update released! here's what's been added:

- All of the troops on floor 17 will no longer be changed by other mods!

- A new OP weapon has been added to the Tower of MADNESS! The davy Crockett can be found hidden somewhere around floors 1 - 5. This weapon, of course, has also been added to the reward addon, where it can be used at any time, and even in arena mode!

- You know that one grunt who writes lies on the walls in staircases? Well, one of his lies has became true, though I won't say which one it is...

- The checkpoint room poster in floor 16 has been moved to where it can be easily seen!

- The camera and borders in every staircase have been tweaked to show off and read the graffiti a little easier.

- Dead zones (The zones responsible for bringing you back up to the stage after falling off) will no longer bring you and other enemies down to 1 health after being brought back to the stage.

- Fixed the medic not showing up in floor 23.

- fixed the grunt now showing up in the demo end room (The room with the bridge).

Unfortinutely, content ended up having to be a bit dry this week due to a combination due to IRL issues, along with me switching over to the newest version of the scene tools and learning its new features. I'm currently working on something super experimental, and if it works out, it could be included in next week's update.

Stay tuned and have a good week yall!

Update: 27 Jul @ 10:38pm

A very small update for the Tower of MADNESS Extended DEMO released! Here's what been added and changed:

- Extreme mode is now available at the very start of the custom level. (located by the building if you were to move to the right on the street.)

- the Regulator Axe in the red section of floor 19 how has its own model instead of using the prime blade model.

- There is now a reward for beating the extreme mode of the Tower of MADNESS. The reward is gaining access to the addon's most cracked and OP characters and weapons for you to play around with!

- The waves in every variant of floor 19 now starts sooner.

As mentioned before, the next batch of weekly updates will focus on putting more graffiti in the staircases, tweaking the enemies throughout the floors to adjust difficulty, and smashing any and all bugs that get discovered. Have a good week yall!

Update: 25 Jul @ 12:48am

Tower of MADNESS Extended DEMO released! The largest update to this addon by far! Here's a list of everything that's been added, changed, and fixed:

- 8 new floors have been added to the Tower of MADNESS! bringing the number of floors up to 23 in total!

- a complete visual overhaul on nearly every single floor and room! The amount of changes of these visuals deserves a list of its own, but I'll let you discover these changes on your own!

- An extreme mode had been added! You can rerun all 23 floors with a new and more brutal roster of enemies!

- An introduction to the lore surrounding the Tower of MADNESS! Much of the lore as of right now can be found on a couple of the staircases throughout the tower, and also from a mysterious character that can be found in the extreme version of floor 19.

- Camera borders have been adjusted to where the camera will stop at the ends of both the right and left walls on floors 1-6.

- The sus Hireling that aids you in battle from floor 14 to 17 has been buffed to last a little longer in the rooms, but will still die towards the end of the wave.

- fixed a bug in floor 2 in which any characters could fall through the left wall.

- blood splatters and bullet holes will no longer appear on the 4th walls of every room.

This MASSIVE update ended up getting rushed to meet the deadline, and the next batch of weekly updates will focus on putting more graffiti in the staircases, tweaking the enemies throughout the floors the adjust difficulty, and smashing any and all bugs that get discovered. Good luck and enjoy yall!
