General Changes

Item Changes
  • Removed Charm Immunity from Potion of Charisma and Greater Potion of Charisma
  • Added +2 bonus to saving throws against Charm effects to Potion of Charisma
  • Added +3 bonus to saving throws against Charm effects to Greater Potion of Charisma
  • Added +1 bonus to Persuasion and Deception to Greater Potion of Charisma

> These changes are intended to remove the ability for certain consumables to fully counter significant portions of specific class/subclass toolkits, whilst still serving as partial counters that are situationally powerful.

College of Lore
  • Added Banishment at Expert
  • Added additional +1 to all Knowledge skills at Expert
  • Added 2 Novice or Adept rituals of choice at Expert (done via ticket after wipe)

> These changes are intended to compensate somewhat for Lore Bards losing the ability to pre-buff allies, offering them further strength in the debuffer/buffer role in combat and providing further thematic bonuses to their non-combat abilities by providing additional rituals.

  • Updated Bulwark of Faith to be correctly removed when exiting combat

Twilight Domain
  • Removed Twilight Restoration due to its benefits being consolidated into Twilight Heal

Druid
Circle of Spores
  • Updated Symbiotic Entity tooltip for adjusted temporary hitpoints
  • Changed Halo of Spores to be up to 10 targets within 2 tiles rather than all targets, to avoid friendly fire. Ability remains otherwise unchanged
  • Fixed additional Halo of Spores charge from Fungal Body

Fighter
Battle Master
  • Updated Pushing Attack name to Pushing Strike, to make it clearer that it counts towards the per-turn strike limit

Champion
  • Updated Warrior's Ethos to require an action
  • Fixed Warrior's Ethos to remove control cooldown buff

> While Champion damage has been a hotly discussed topic at times, their potential damage caps represent high rolls compared to averages that are, by and large, in line with many other martial classes. What creates difficulty with engagements involving Champions is more-so their ability to immediately purge multiple status effects and continue to attack up to 3 times in the same turn; this change addresses this without fundamentally changing the ability, but reducing the ability of Champions to CC break and multi-attack within the same turn.

Paladin
Oath of Devotion
  • Updated Holy Nimbus to now also prevent use of Shadow Step and Mantle of Shadows by any targets within 4 tiles for the duration of the effect

Ranger
  • Fixed Searing Smite assignment at Novice

Sorcerer
Draconic Bloodline
  • Updated Red/Gold/Brass Ancestry Novice spell to give Fire Shield instead of Scorching Ray, as the latter is granted via the base spell list at Adept

Warlock
Hexblade
  • Fixed Wrathful Smite assignment at Novice
  • Fixed Staggering Smite assignment at Expert
  • Fixed Banishing Smite assignment at Master

Wizard
  • Changed 20 hour cooldown on Arcane Recovery to instead make it usable once per rest (short or long rest)

School of Conjuration
  • Reduced bonus passive temporary hitpoints from Earth Elemental from 12 to 8
  • Replaced bonus +2 DT from Earth Elemental with +1 AC
  • Updated Fire Elemental tooltip to clarify it gives 8 temporary hitpoints, not 6

> These changes bring the potential temporary HP and DT sources available to School of Conjuration more in line with those of other classes, after recent changes across the board.

  • Updated Surprise Attack range to 10 tiles to allow it to be used for ranged weapon attacks

  • This is part of what will likely be an ongoing adjustment to sources of temporary hitpoints, removing limitations on stacking them but coinciding this with adjustments to the amount of hitpoints provided by these abilities. It will also include removing the randomness of these abilities in favour of flat bonuses, to avoid situations in which players feel it necessary to chain use these abilities together with rests to 'gamble' on higher rolls
