balancing tweaks on many weapons, specially aim and shop cost


reduced scope close range penalty for x2 scopes

increased recoil for large calibers, but many large calibers weapons had their aim increased
small increase in recoil penalty for the SMGs that use rifle caliber
increased HeC critical per aim for snipers

decreased UV dot aim accuracy by 1
vertical grip no longer grants aim accuracy, instead it grants a small flat bonus on aimed attacks

Some minor tweaks on some weapons

Bullpup no longer decreases recoil. instead it will reduce Stance AP, and give a bit of PB range bonus

Sligthly increased recoil penalty. Moreso for the heavy calibers
Slightly increased MG held penalty
MG held penalty will be higher for heavier MGs

Changed the Option related to noise. Set it to zero for have close to vanilla values

Tweaked recoil penalty for the AI. Please report feedback if they are too strong with it.

Persistant recoil stacks will now display a value that mostly correlates with the recoil penalty at max distance. This was made so you can have a rough idea of how much recoil it has accumulated.

Recoil Overhaul:

Multishot actions now apply recoil in a progressive way for each shot, instead of a flat penalty for all shots.
The first shot will not have any recoil penalty
Recoil from multishot actions cant reduce original CTH to less than 5%

Reworked recoil penalties for all weapons and components
Calibers have more weight in the calculations of recoil
Added mechanisms like Gas Operated, Blowback to recoil calculation
Marksmanship, representing technique, is almost as important as strength in terms of recoil reduction

Rate of fire can increase recoil penalty (represented by number of shots in the attack action/ap cost)
Mg Setup reduces recoil
Held MG burst has more penalty
Reworked STR effect on MGs. Very important, especially for held burst

The recoil penalty multiplier on the weapon screen will now show the total aspects included in the calc: strength, perks, marksmanship, even stance. If the weapon doesnt have an owner (like in the shop or dropped in sector stash, the str and marks value will default to 100, and the legend will be displayed as "Minimum Recoil Multiplier") - the lower this value, the less recoil


Persistant Recoil

Added a new status effect called Recoil.
Each shot you fire adds one stack of this effect. This will apply to Single Shots as well.
The effect reduces accuracy using the same parameters as the previous recoil function.
If you aim 3 times, this penalty can be negated. But if the recoil is too high, aim cost can be increased - up to the third aim level. Aiming 3 times will also reset recoil stacks.

Entering OW, exiting shooting stance, reloading, moving etc will remove all stacks

Added new mod options to tweak or disable both the new recoil mechanics


Tracer rounds and Auto Weapons perk will only reduce recoil in multishot attack actions

Compensator and the Recoil Management perk no longer grants bonus accuracy against same target (only affects recoil)


Increased miss to graze threshold by 8, or 12 when using multishot actions

Light barrels will not affect hipfire penalty
Light barrels no longer decrease aim, instead, they increase recoil
Light barrels slightly improve weapon angle

Heavy barrels no longer increase single shot acc, instead they reduce recoil
Heavy barrels now also sligthly increase snapshot penalty and decrease weapon angle




Increased the stance ap of all MGs, except RPK

Cumbersome no longer affects mg held penalty

The first time you target an enemy with hipfire, you must pay 1 AP extra.

Cumbersome now increases stance AP by 1, and hipfire cost by 1. This can be negated if you have at least 90 STR

Heavy Stock stance ap increase will not apply if you have at leas 85 STR
Tweaked the way heavy stock bonus aim apply


Increased the damage of all 7.62x54R weapons by 1

Decreased Barret AP cost for single shot to 2


Noise from weapons now its mostly based on calibers. All calibers were given unique values.
You can change noise values in mod options now

Hipfire and snapshot penalties have been revised

Increasde M1A and m14 range by 2
decreased AR15 and m16 range by 2

Recoil booster muzzle component now sligthly reduces recoil (will be offset by higher rate of fire)

Caliber modifications will no longer increase Shoot AP cost

Increased 5.45 tumbling critical chance from 10% to 15%
Increased 5.56 frag effects from 20% to 30% bonus critical damage

Increased Hundred Knives ap cost by 1

Tex revolver cycling AP reduced by 1

SMGs will now use the pistol variant of long/short barrels, with no change in Stance AP cost
pistol variants of barrels no longer influence damage
Slightly reduced short/long barrel pistol variant effect on angle
Increased PB range modifier for short barrels in pistols, revolvers and smgs
Increased the recoil reduction of long barrels for pistols, revolvers and smgs

For the rifle variant of short barrel, range reduction has changed from -4 to -2

Small QOL update:
ending your turn in shooting stance will automatically transfer 3 AP to the next turn. No need to press rotate action.

Bugfixes:
Reloading will properly remove shooting stance
fixed aug bipods having more bonus than intended

Introducing compatibility for SmartOverwatch

The cost of overwatch will dinamically change if you select another OW action using smart overwatch
Fixed SW overwriting mg setup ap cost

If you find any other bug related to compatibility between SW and this mod, please tell me and I will fix it
