- Siege Towers added, and finalised but no unit icon yet.
- Various factions have been nerfed, losing access to siege weapons.

- Added siege towers from Warbirth. They will also be reused in Bronze Dawn when its time comes.
- Tested Minyak, and it worked. So all that's left is to rejig siege, then start giving China, Venice, Byzantium and Hungary their units.

WISH LIST ITEMS

- Missing builfing icons
- Dogs, NC units need auditing, pronto.
- War Elephants are still missing - take from Hong.
- Hungary and some other factions need nerfiing, and Siege Towers are missing.
- Chinese cavalry issue. Household corps (细军) issue is not done and don't know how to get it finished.
- Building and unit perks from politcs not implemented.
- India, Turk buildsets not finalised, get this done ASAP.
- Patriots are not complete.

Patriots: simple.

Low Asian for Qara Khitai, Turks, Mongols, Merkits, Russians, Xixia, Jurchens.
Low Muslim for Indians - Hindustan, Khmers, Hoysala, Rajputs. But offensive units should use elephants!

Generals can be assigned based on religion, there's a total of 12 different generals.
Scholars can also be assigned based on religion, with Muslims using a unique unit.

Priests should consist of two units - they are still pure walkers.

- Feudal Retinue being retained at Senate.
- Knights have been given to 4 Latin powers, but Venice has the ability to raise Freelancer Knights from the Mansion.
- Baatur now replaces Cataphract/Retinue Cavalry for Qara Khitai and Mongols but heavy cavalry is still very much required.
- Rejigged medium infantry (bad coding for Vietnam found, causing unit overlap. Steppe Warband finally given back to factions that use them).

Started reintroducing Asassins but so far no dice.

After a long hard reshuffling exercise Hungary finally loads up with no problems. But we still have problems:

- War Elephants are still missing - take from Hong.
- Hungary and some other factions need nerfiing, and Siege Towers are missing.
- Javelin Cav as secondary unit for cav archer civs is not done.
- Fortified Barracks is missing, probably needed by Korea, Egypt, Crusaders, HRE, Byz, Song, Vietnam,, Russia, and Venice and Khmers.
- Chinese cavalry issue. Household corps (细军) issue is not done and don't know how to get it finished.
- Building and unit perks from politcs not implemented.

ALSO: Warrior hall units has not been satisfactorily addressed.

Ranged, cavalry, again:

Steppe Nomads, Mounted Rangers and Javelin Cavalry all handed out to different factions.

- Steppe Nomad: given to Jin, Qara Khitain, Cumans, Mongols, but also most Muslim factions - Hindustan, Turks, Khwarazam.
- Horse Archers: given to Song, Korea, Crusaders, Hungary, Song, Byzantines and Bulgaria
- Jav Cav: given as a primary unit, to most European factions and such. Indians and Vietnam have them. Germans, Russians, Poles, Venice, Bohemia and Xixia.

But several factions still have yet to receive new units. These are mainly Byzantines, Hungary, Qara Khitai, Mongols, and Cumans and Khwarazan.

Still need to elimiate the crash problems with Hungary at any cost.

Started trying to move heavy cavalry and units around but still very unsure what the effects are.

- Cavalry. This is a tough one. We've removed the old Lancer and replaced it with Retinue Cav, with lancers now becoming elite units for non-Christian factions but still unsure how this affects the game. Scholarios has been migrated to Senate.
- Archers. Heavy Archers given to Korea as NC unit but Muslim factions and Rajputs expected to receive this unit too, someday. Composite Bow converted to Barracks upgrade for Venice, Khwarazam, Crusaders, Egypt - but more factions may receive this, most particularly Mongols, Polovtsy. Longbow given to Hoysala, Rajputs but Hindustan should also receive them.
- Axe Woj given to Bulgaria and Poland as part of South Slav circle. Fauchards provided as upgrades for HRE, Bohemia.
- Elite swords. Feudal Retinue, Milites, Burgmanner sent to Senate.
- Suicide Soldiers, Conscript Swordsmen : finally distributed around most Asian units, although IMHO, Khwarazan should receive Conscript Swordsmen. Or maybe Axemen should be made available again.
- Russians. No idea, Ushkuiniks given.
- Hungary. Still unresolved.

Thinking of removing Swordsmen permanently from this mod. We already have Militia and Mercenary Swordsmen and Feudal Retinue, there really isn't any need for so many of the same. On the other hand crossbowmen need a more archaic appearance, this needs to be looked into ASAP.

Mercenaries revamped!

Due to ongoing crashes, we have revamped mercenaries.
- Coordinates for some at Lookout rejigged.
- Daylamis, Normans, Tatars, Cumans, Caucasus Mountain Men amended and removed to other buildings.
This means that aside from some nations like the Khwarezmians and Byzantines, Cumans are now a major user of mercenaries, and should be merc-heavy. Nations like China and Mongolia need more teching up.

Converted one of Azangara's files into a BH3.

Hungary is still the top priority because it keeps crashing the game. Trying to implement a new system where Mounted Rangers come out of Nobles' Courts but it is hard going.


So far we have the following:

CITY: Angry mobs
HOVEL: Skirmisher Levy, Crossbow Levy, PEasant LEvy => Urban Militia (with Republican government 1)
BARRACKS: Militia, Speaermen, Archers (Speaer Sarges and Crossbows with Republican govt 2)
STABLE: Retinue Cavalry, Scout Horse, Horse Archer (and Jav Cav)
SENATE: Varispan
NC: Brother-Knight? there should be space for a Mounted Ranger in here.
Mounted Rangers should occupy the same space as the Sarges who will be trained only by Bohemia and HRE.

Still not confident. May need to scour this entire mod until we figure out what is causing crashes.

What about Mongolia?

May need to shift Baatur over to replace Ret Cavl.

- New song added for default set of nations (mainly for Mediterranean factions, but also for Crusaders)
-New scout with Budenovka created for Rise of the Moderns. Not sure how this will work but I think I want to test any and all factions, before I started working on this mod. This means testing each faction, one after the other, to tell who is crashing and who is not.

Testing the following 8 factions resulted in a GPIECE error:

Cumans, Poland, Rajputs, Korea, Selcuks, Khwarazam, Khmers, Germans.

Koreans, Selcuk, Cumans cause crash.

Tier 1: Cumans, Rajputs, Selcuks - GPIECE Crash.
Tier 2: Poles, Rajputs, Selcuks, Germans - GPIECE crash.
Tier 3: Poles, Selcuks, Germans, Koreans - GPIECE crash.
Tier 4: Khmers, Khwarazam - PASS
Tier 5: Poles, Rajputs, Cumans, Germans, Koreans - GPIECE crash.
Tier 6: Cumans, Germans, Koreans - GPIECE crash.
Tier 7: Koreans, Poles - GPIECE crash. Cumans, Khwarazam - GPIECE crash.
Tier 8: Germans, Khwarazam, Poland - PASS.
