- Christian general added, and ready to go.
- We keep the Asian general for China, Muslims, Nomads.

- Patriots almost done, only Mongol unit is missing.
- Started aligning tribes.xml to fit RKC unit appearances. We will be reusing this unit_graphics.x file for Project 1400.

So,

- Middle easterners get 5 INDIAN, Nomads 4 IROQUOIS, Indians 1 ARAB.

- Poland now uses 2 AMERICAN, Western European.
- Selcuk use 4 IROQUOUS, Nomads
- Hindustan uses 1 ARAB, Indian

Still no decision on how to finish off Indian Red patriots. We only know that Tier 3 is most lkely going to be a war elephant.

Thought son military commanders.........

So far we have both Muslim and Christian commanders. However, there are still issues......

- Christians : 2 versions, both ready to go.
- Muslim: Will most likely utilise Mongol tarkhan unit from RKC (this unit is not in use)
- Chinese/Mongol:

o Chinese is done - we have a dude with a halberd. However, a new unit neds to be minted. This one has heavy armour and a Song hat.
o Officers WIP, Christian and Muslim officers required for this mod.

Also god the Chinese name for Jurchen Jin units - tiefutu!

So, commanders and elites - sti8lll not solved.

Tier 2 Green patriot:

- Thinking of bringing in sedan chair for China. We have parts.
- Walkers required for many of these units, perhaps.....

DEFAULT - cloaked guy with hood buyt with medieval general armour.
NA - Qara Khitai / Xixia fellow. Or a STeppe Warbander with no spear?
INDIA - Arab tribal chief, possible but with no horse.


May need considering working on Commander units first, before producing these guys. Then again........


BYZANTINES DESIGN:

So far, we have the following:

Cities: Angry mob

Hovel: Peasant Levy, Skirmisher Levy.

Barracks: Kontaratoi, Spathatoi, Archers => Crossbow Infantry?

Stable: Scout Cavalry, Retinue Horse, Horse Archer, Jav Cav (Secondary)

Senate: Varangopouloi (replaces Varangians), Scholariois (replaced by Pronoiar)

Mansion/NC:

- Normans => Pronoiar
- Mounted Rangers? yes, shared with Hungary (but not Bulgaria who uses Kipchak cavalry)

Note the following:

Christian factions that get Rangers: Russia, Byzantines, Hungary
" " " " horse archers: Byzantines, Hungary. But Hungary may not receive jav cav.


But if eMerchant cavalry are present, how does this affect NC/Mansionn use?

- Merchant cavalry are often trained here for most factions, especially for those with weak cav traditions. Note that Byzantium and Venice can't train chivalric order units, Venice must make do with Scholari, Merchant cav until knights become available.
- For Vietnam, Hoysala, Hindustan, Rajputs, war elephants are trained here.
- Swordsmen may be trained here.
- Holy Order Sergeants? UU for Bohemia, HRE. HRE gets Ritterbruder instead of Crusader.
- Armed Clergy for Crusader States.
- Hungarians get the Varispan out of here, automatically.


For most Muslims, the NC content remains unchanged. Equally Muslims get access to Retinue Cavalry as a replacement for Scout Cavalry at the Stable. Only Khwarazam has a different unit:Daylamis.

Note that Muslims do not need a NC for ranged cavalry:

Turks- have access to both horse archers, javs
Egypt: javs dropped, replaced with Dromedaries. Scout Cavalry is absent, replaced with REtinue Cav
Khwarazam: Scolut cav, Transoxanians, Steppe Nomad (because who needs horse archers really?), jav cav.

So, crossbows have been resolved.

- Old Crossbow Levy unit from RKC will be reinstated for German/European nations.
- A new Early Mediaeval crossbowman, created by remixing elements from Super7700, is now done.

So, how does this work out?

- Byzantines, Crusaders - they use the old Western European skins (only light horse and crossbows for Byzantines, maybe).
- Everyone else in Europe - anything that does not use a Kettle Helm.


What else do we need?

- Jin Iron Towers.
- Song handgonnes, Heavy Glaivemen
- xixia Mountaineers
- Ghurid Foot Ghulams (essentially heavy spear guys?)
- Bulgar Kopienosti.
