SO REVIEWING our projects, AGAIN......

KHAN - required for Project Dever, Project ARC and Project Halcann
CCCP - required for Project Stirling
WBI - refinements needed, required for Zumarch.
MOD1, MOD2 - required for Project LOTR.

It would seem that, given our current situation .......

- Concentrate on finishing MOD1, WBI and WBI2.

Tried to get Khitan cavalry done, but failed. Instead, Muslim civs now have a new turkified unit clad in chainmail.

- Updated icon sheet with items from Project 666.
- Gwanggun is now based off Urban Militia, and is a fast-recruiting spearman wuith tyhe following perks:
o Added damage to cavalry
o Trans faster, and is cheaper.
o Some defence versus melee.

So far, the best way to manage cavalry is to give any unit tyrained from a Senate, NC, WH or Mansion really strong perks. This means that the lowest form of unit, a Latin Knight, should have the same stats and power as a Lay Knight, but a Tiefutu should get the same stats as a Warlord from Alexander.

CREWSIZE on Swordsmen was causing GPIECE Errors. The issue has been fixed!

- Gwanggun - a new spear unit for Korea which replaces all militia - is now in.
- Korea is noted to be posing GPIECE problems. Reason is unknown at this point.

Christian factions are now done, sort of. So we need to start checking .....

- Mongols, Cumans.
- Indians
- Musllims
- Chinese, Khmers, Vietnam.

[24.30/11]
- Hashishin/Fedayeen purged, and their skins have been given over to the new Assassin unit.
- Some work done but only Bohemia and Hungary are ready. The problem is that how politics affects recruitment in this mod has never fully been fleshed out. Should be finished but we need to deal with other things.
- Some new icons have been added to this mod, as part of a rebranding exercise for the six types of Policies available from a Meeting House/Palace.

So far, Christian factions are mostly done but we are experincing problems:


FORTIFIED BARRACKS

- Status unknown, needs checking!

?SINITIC FACTIONS

- Grenadiers, Handgonne missing.
- Tibetan units and Turkic units for Qara Khitai, Xixia, Dajin not in. - take from Project 666.

QARA KHITAI: Vintage Turkish heavy and medium cavalry, swords and bows are likely.


DAJIN - Tiefutu cavalry. Done, armed with maces.

XIXIA - 鐵鷂子 - Tieyaozi cavalry

- Probably speaer and shield armed.
- Was a medium cavalry unit.

SONG

- At this p[oint in time Song dynasty is poorer, so no heavy cavalry. Song and Viet armies should resemble one another. We only need Handgonnes, Grenadiers and heavy billmen.

Likely design choices:

- QARA KHITAI sword cavalry, "Ordo" - uise a Tibetan unit from Project 666.
- Koreans - Gwanggun. Probably heavy spearmen with small rattan shields.

WAR ELEPHANTS: a must-have for most south Asian factions.

Armoured elephant - used by all five civs - Khmers, Vietnam, Hindustan, Hoysala, Rajput. Need probably as many as 3 designs - north Indian, south Indian, and of course, Chinese.
Hoysala elephant - cheaper and lighther, has a single archer.
Hindustan elephant - more armour than Hoysala elephant but is melee.
Khmer ballista elephant.

As amny as 20 different parts may be required.

CAVALRY, expanded.

INDIAN, KHMER jav cav are missing. Probably need 4 different units, again.

MUSLIMS Are still unchecked.

- Egyptian units - Africans, Ahdath - not implemented.
- Ghuzat volunteers still not fully integrated, these units are most likely absent from Khwarazam and Hindustan.
- Check distribution of crossbow infantry.
- camels, ghilman, the works. Where are these units?
- What about units share dwith Mongols and Turks, like Bek cavalry, or Steppe Nomads? Seljuks, Khwarazam, Ghurids need serious checking, and.......

MONGOLS

This faction is still unchecked. But Cumans are also not very well checked, either.

Trying to clean up UNITRULES.x but it isn't easy.

- Longbow skins for India (Hoysala Rajputana) added.
- Mercahnt cavalry, or Retinue cavalry at Nob Res? RESOLVED. Merc Cavalry given wholly to Hoysala as a Mansion unit. Rajputs have access to mainstream cav, but plans are made for Indian cav archers.
- Mongol units and army not done. Shamans also not added although we have icon for shamans. Shamans were given to various factions, but two new ones (one for Hoysala, another for Korea) required.
- Hungarian cavalry has been RESOLVED. Boyars train from NC, and consume Druzhniky.
o Russians, Bulgars receive Boyarnik.
o Magyars can train both Kiseret and Varispan and most of the Magyar tech tree is available early on.
o Should love Druzhina to Senate, then let Boyars replace them at Stable later on. Maybe, RESOLVED. Poles have a separate version of Druzhniky that is consumed by Knights.
- Medium infantry line is not resolved. RESOLVED. No swordsmen for Catholic factions, this unit is ow a NC unit.

BUT?

- Assassin is missing.
- New UUs for this mod are still missing. For instance we need 4 different kinds of war elephant and possible 20 different models.
- Have not checked for Siege Towers, but do we really neeed them? maybe we do,.
- Fire lancers, grenadiers and handgonnes not done or audited.
- Slots for CVhinese gunpowder weapons missing. We need 2.
o May be able to squeeze them into Siege Factory, once Rams are consumed by Trebuchets.

So, a new shaman has been added, by taking a disused shaman concept from KC and embedding it into this mod.
I tried to fix the issue with cavalry but am not pleased with the result, merc cav available only to Hoysala. This is better given to Rajputs instead, but Rajputs don't have a noble residence......

Fixing Indian factions - Hindustan, Rajputs, Hoysala, Khmers.

- Only Rajputs, Hoysala and Khmers should be allowed to recruit merc elephants, like Vietnam.
- Khmers train Scorpion Elephants (damri sangkream), from the Warrior Hall. No armour but has very powerful ranged attack.
- Hoysala train War Elephants (Yuddha Áné) from the Noble Res. Has attack versus enemy elephants.
- Gajah are trained by Rajputs and Hindustan, slower and costlier but have better armour. and are melee based, used for attacking melee infantry.
- All five factions train Armoured Elephants - the best of the best.
