in battle zones I have come across buildings that aren't offering the option to use the attached cover system like hovering mouse cursor over model buildings windows and when mouse cursor changes to arrow icon then this signifying it ok to click again for highlighted ai soldier(s) to then enter building.
so I will be scanning each map for buildings not giving the option to enter especially, where crucial positions are met like buildings only the option to enter them is not there. so this will be fixed on next update.

you will see I have taken out the v2.mi (.mi short for mission file) well, the v2 mission file was for russian versus germany but both factions belonging to the base game itself and the v representing valour mod playing no role in this.
so when the new sound overhaul was introduced then I thought I should do a default.mi this offering the base games default infantry being russia and germany and of course, the brand new sound overhaul which in my book is very cleverly done.
especially, how the whizzing bullets will sound when they will slam into the various metals that are scattered about the virtual battlefield. when the lampposts get knocked off the ground by the vehicles machine guns and the sound fx from this really is quite special when yeh smack bang right in the middle of all the virtual chaos.
the movie saving private ryan at the beginning on the beach always springing to mind and nudging the in-game imagination when the new sound overhaul sounds the same as the whizzing bullets slamming into the hedgehogs or ground defences on the beach in the film. it just sounds the same. its so damn exciting. so am always thinking of the various metals I can place in my maps and the sound fx always etched on my mind when spending time in the GEM editor
so it makes a lot of sense creating the default.mi because not only does it it introduce both default ai soldiers (russia and germany) but also the brand new sound overhaul to. so this is how the default.mi was created.

the error spawn dingo[0x1fc actor] for a lot of the v1 mission files has now been fixed.
also for the v1 mission files a lot of scripting has been tidied up.
added limited/wave - loop script into cq16. more will be added in all maps in future updates.
added default_inf.mi into cq16. the inf short for infantry so only mounting scripts and infantry.
more default_inf.mi files will be added into all maps in future updates
overall general tidy up.
updates will always continue as normal.

saturday 2nd april 2023: 05:44am
added default mission file to all maps. as of now there is v1.mi file (mi short for mission) representing brit/usa versus germany using valour mod and default.mission file which represents russia versus germany.
added skirmish - battle zones to all maps.
fixed some mounting scripts and reedited waypoints mainly for intro_smoke.
fixed some ai soldier spawning scripts.
in skirmish - battle zones for the human player support vehicles (including machine guns/mortars, cannons) well, the vehicles spawning in areas have been worked on more so in battle zones am watching the paths to the overall virtual environment the ai support vehicles will take as some can get stuck or it (the support ai) will position itself behind walls, buildings or other vehicles so this I am working around and making readjustments when spending time in the gem editor.
battle zone preview screens may change. also battle zone flags to.
overall general tidy up.
as part of the updating process all scripting in all 22 maps both v1.mi and default.mi will be tidied up.

new update saturday 1st april 2023: 14:41pm
as part of the updating process I have come across some ai spawning scripts not working properly mainly for the endless_waves. this will be fixed on next update.

for multiplayer skirmish especially, with vehicles spawning in, all maps below are at an acceptable playable state. as follows:
multi/cq16 - multi/cq17 - multi/cq18 - multi/cq19 - multi/cq20 - multi/cq21 - multi/cq22.
all maps will be reworked now focusing on the vehicle spawning areas mainly for multiplayer skirmish play.
adding default scripts and multiplayer skirmish for rest of maps >> cq1 to cq15 is now in process.

in future updates cq1 to cq15 will include the default mission files and also multiplayer/local skirmish files to. ..........(cq16 to cq22) already added to.
also both v1 & default mission files are still in the process of being tweaked.
all skirmish capture zones will be re-positioned over time due to testing while some skirmish capture points will stay remaining as they are.
all 22 map builds remain still in development. ie: adding new environmental builds, overall tidy up while dealing with floating models to.
all preview screenshots showing at beginning of skirmish battles are likely to change while some stay remaining.

added default mission files and multiplayer/local skirmish to cq21-cq22 bringing the total of 6 maps as of now owning default mission and multiplayer skirmish files.
