Description
A tool for active hunting. Places a small spot on the ground to hunt immediately and without a time limit. You find it in the removal toolbar. It is included in the North mod.

I made an update of the separate Hunting Tool. Now on 2x2 tiles for easy placing in forests, just as it is in North 7. Unfortunately it crashes games with old spots already placed and sincewe can't avoid auto-updating in Steam, it is for now only available on mod website. You can download the new version from banishedventures.com/mods

I made a small patch for more reddish hunting and fishing spots. It gives indeed a slightly better contrast and is still banished style. Ah, that would be great!

The tool is really hard to see anyway, in part from Banished's way of putting those symbols on the ground, below the tree cover, and in part because it's yellow, which does not show up well against white, or green. I wonder if you could make it red? I find that the basic rules of Heraldic color are a good guide to legibility. The "colors" (red, blue) can be used next to anything, the "metals" (yellow, white) can't be used next to each other, but can be used with colors, and 'self-colored' (representing an object's natural color, usually brown, green) are used hardly at all, and usually over metals.

While it's nice in some ways to have a symbol on a transparent background, it would be much easier to find if the background was a solid color contrasting with the symbol color and perhaps bordered by the symbol color. Not as elegant, perhaps, but much more practical.

The hunting tool in the current North mod was reworked on 2x2 tiles. That makes it much more easy to place in the forest. On 1x1 it would be too hard to see and to click. I will update this here on Steam next days..

Great tool- except if there is anything on the ground, like a mushroom. Makes it hard to hunt deer where they are- in the forest. Why is the footprint of the site 3x3? Given what the tool is, wouldn't 1x1 make more sense? It would be a lot more useful that way.

i liked this A LOT, next to busy labours. tried the same seed vanilla afterwards and could ALMOST hit the same numbers tho so it FEELS safer, but in fact if u play smart you can do it without, too ^^ xoxo

Bogato☭, Вы подключили мод в списке модов в главном меню? Если мод подключать в уже запущенной игре, то необходимо сначала загрузить игру, а потом подключить. Сам инструмент находится там же, где и снос зданий, сбор ресурсов и т.д.

Привет, kaatrav! В этом и суть инструмента - он для микроменеджмента: его можно и нужно сносить сразу после убийства оленя. После размещения олени остаются какое-то время, но после первого же убийства начинают убегать. Это достаточно реалистично, к тому же, можно назначить несколько охотников.
Олень должен находиться в поле зрения жителя, а не в жёлтом радиусе. Даже если охотник увидел оленя по пути к своему месту работы, то первый всё равно убьёт второго. Зная такие особенности, можно хорошо скорректировать размещение инструмента. :)
