Description

Adds custom space elves with new: portraits, outfits, hairstyles, ships, city styles, flags, name lists, megastructures, traits, civics, events, and way too much more to put in a tiny blurb like this.

Ships
  • Elven
    Naboo meets Imperial themed ship set. With elfy vines. Or something. All vanilla ships, civilian stations, and megastructures included. (Juggernauts on the way!)
  • Drow/Ilythiiri
    Coming as soon as they're all done!
Elven Portraits
  • Base Elven
    Typical elves, no crazy eye colors, standard hairstyles, and fantasy themed clothing.
  • Sidh
    Party elves! Wear lots of sparkles and not much else. (Will be refactored into sci-fi elves in the future.)
  • Moon Elves
    Light skin tones, color coordinated clothing, awesome tattoos (or face paint).
  • Lhuren
    Dragon elves. Fierce eyes and quasi Han-Chinese-ish inspired clothing.
Drow Portraits
Drow come in two flavors for each category. Dunmer (light grey) and Drow (dark) skin tones
  • True Drow
    Red eyes, dark clothes, and plenty of attitude.
  • Ilythiiri
    Multicolored eyes and hairstyles.
  • Lhuren Drow
    Drow that prefer wearing Hanfu type stuff because it’s awesome.
Origins
  • Elven Foundations
    • Your people came of age on world populated with the many wonders of an ancient Eldar empire.
  • Arcadian Symbiosis
    • Your civilization arose as a grouping of sparsely populated natural habitats coexisting with sentient plantlife.
  • Celestial Throne
    • A philosophy of peace and introspection swept over your world and facilitated the creation of empire who's chief purpose was protection from external influences.
  • Sunless Realms
    • Miraculously blossoming in a system with binary black holes, your civilization's only light has been that of the divine Moon.
  • Subterranean Inception
    • For millenia your civilization existed in the vast caverns of your homeworld. Eventually breaching the surface your people are now ready to break through another barrier: space itself.
  • Prismatic Refuge
    • Fleeing your home system due to persecution, your primitive colony vessel miraculously happened upon a paradise world. Having now mastered this world your civilization turns its attention to the stars once again.
Elven Names Lists
  • 7 Elven and 3 Drow namelists. Ayleid, Quenya, Sindarin, Altmer, and some randomish stuff. Drow have real Drow, Dunmer, and a sort of mixed list.

  • I want a patch for X super cool mod!
    That's great! Go make it! :-D We found supporting too many patches seriously cut into the development time we had available for the main mod. We will be happy to post any patches people make up at the top of the description however. Let us know about any patches you make in the comments!
  • I want the version of this mod for some silly past version of Stellaris!!
    There is no past version of stellaris. There has only been and only will be THIS version. Suggestions of past versions are clearly Blorg conspiracy theories.
  • Hey! The games says this mod is for some stupid OLD version of Stellaris! What gives!?
    Try deleting your <My Documents>/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod folder (but make sure you don't trash non-steam mods if you have any). Then verify integrity of Stellaris' files in Steam. That's the best way to smack Steam into shape! :-)
  • Will you do ships of X, Y, Z, or Q?
    NO! Because I'm already busy enough with 3 ship sets.
  • Why do Drow/Ilythiiri ships look just like stupid elves!???
    It makes it easier to update the mod without having to deactivate half the ships every time. We'll announce when the drow ships are ready for use! In the meantime, pretend those ship styles aren't there.
  • Can I has just the ships!?
    No you freak! This is an elf mod! The ships are for the elves!! ... No elves spawn normally so if you don't want elves, just don't pick any.
  • I don't read stupid FAQs so I'm going to ask a question covered here!
    OK but some of us may have a little fun at your expense.
  • Can't the elven ships be made out of wood, use sails and shoot magic arrows?
    These aren't the elves you're looking for. They can go about their business. Move along. :-)

Overtuned is so darn good on Elves.

There should be some kind of Toxoid-themed Dark Elf pregen with Overtuned and a civic that plays into their poisonous nature.

I bet it'd be fairly easy with parameters passed to inline_script to turn the current primitive code into a few more specific functions, while keeping the current function working correctly

@TheGrannyM - yeah those are the ones I currently use, but they generate a random age (early or advanced) and I want to be able to force either early or advanced when generating primitives in extragalactic clusters. Also I was thinking about adding the Shattered Rose cluster but only if it's not already in the galaxy, and then I thought "why not Lunari too?" and that's when I got here asking about some kind of "pick_not_yet_generated" for primitives. Might be impossible, I dunno.

regarding balance:
how about creating two versions of the mod, one balanced for ppl wanna play normally or even ise it in MP and one overpowered version for people who playing elves specially because elves useally are overpowered in fantasy :D

generate_elven_primitives_on_planet
create_elven_pre_ftl_species
create_early_elven_primitive_empire
And several more. Check out: elven_primitives_scripted_effects.txt in the scripted_effects folder.

There is not presently and we're stilling doing it the old way on Spawns Enabled which desperately needs a serious revamp. I think what I'll do is add a function to EoS directly (for anyone who wants it) and then use that for Spawns Enabled going forward.

@Undercover
We're already looking into changing the standard elf trait a bit (likely next update after the new Stellaris version). Dark matter/Zro might be a bit too overpowered but I'll have a chat with the balance crew on the matter. (They keep me away from balance and rightly so! :lunar2019crylaughingpig: )

Is there an elven / drow version of the function:

generate_early_primitives_on_planet

Rather than generating random early or late primitives?

Ideally I'd like to be able to generate primitives of a pre-gen species which has not yet appeared in the galaxy but I'm not sure how that would work.
