Night Sights for Makarov

Description
Greetings, everyone!
This is Valkinsenn.

And today, I'm pleased to present a simple little mod that might go a long distance for a lot of you: Night Sights for the Makarov.

It's always bugged me in the past how ineffective the Makarov is at night, so I finally took it upon myself to rectify this little issue at long last, and now I present it to all of you to use.

This mod features green and orange-tinted night sights added to the Makarov for maximum effectiveness at night, and even during the day. The front sight post is almost completely green while the rear sight assembly features two little orange dots to either side.

I hope you guys all enjoy this little mod I made.

Until next time!

Kind regards,

I might give that a shot.

You should compression it with DXT1, no way it's going to exceed 500kb.

Okay! The mod's been updated. While I liked the all-green sight scheme, I actually had a look at real night sights and saw certain types of night sights had orange dots on the rear sight assembly. Being honest, I liked that better than the all-green thing, so I added that here. :)

Also, @Rymd, I appreciate your suggestion about the selfillum mask, but I decided to stick with the alpha channel method instead. Adding a selfillum mask ended up ballooning the size of the mod to twice as large as normal, whilst accomplishing the very same task anyway. In the end, I decided to leave it out since it wasn't very efficient. :(

Again, I appreciate the feedback, regardless.

I'll have a look at that. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Instead of painting the dots in the diffuse's alpha channel, you can make a selfillum mask, it also makes the dots not glow in daylight, like how tritium should be.

That is one very bright front sight.
