Description

--Perennial Crops--
Plant once and avoid the annoying chore of replanting your crops!

What does it do?
This little mod makes that every base crop of the game (wild and planted) behave like tomato, grape, banana and coffee plants; so once you harvest them, they will revert to the first growth stage, avoiding having to replant them.
It also changes the wild plants so they can regrow without irrigation, but removes the 100% chance of seed drop from the non-perennial plants, so you will need to break some of them first to get enough seeds to start your farming operation.
It's a small trade off between "realism" and convenience.

What does it don't?
*Modifies the base crop object files in any way (it simply patches them).
*Changes the default crop treasure pool.
*Support new crops added by other mods.

can you guys make a Perennial patch for maple 32?

It's not work with mushroom, when you try to get it's seed it look like a normal mushroom but can't cook and place at a seed.

I restarted the game after several years, and I can confirm two things:
1) this mod still works as expected
2) Frackin Universe keeps this game fresh and alive!

Can you make a version that has the 100% drop rate? With being guaranteed a seed, from preexisting perennials, and not being guaranteed a seed, from the modded perennials, it seems like its just making perennials worse crops. While the default perennials keep giving seeds 100%.

OMG I love this mod... I just spend three days terraforming a giant planet into farmland when I realised the crops I wanted to plant would all be destroyed upon harvesting. This Mod is amazing.
May your pillow always be cold and your supply of cold beverages in the sommer and hot tea in the winter may never expire.
