haha, now i tried, and i did the same solution too.
this solution is smarter than using purple-cube!

I played it again - I beat the level without the purple cube. I went back after the save stone and re-climbed up to the portal. :)

You should - I'm very impressed. Gameplay is hard to design - much harder than architecture. It was really fun to play - and I'm going to try to go backwards after I get more cubes and see if I can get to the end another route. :)
