Push

Description
A very small map that introduces the push mechanic. Requires a bit of care when aiming.

Great map. Fun to solve. I did it like most people did by standing in the doorway and firing a portal under the cubes. Short but interesting. Thanks.

Another alternate solution: Stack the cubes on the floor. Use the beam to get to standing inside the doorframe. Redirect the beam under the cube stack.

I feel slightly awkward now, since I dove into the editor to try and optimize the alternate solution instead. I only watched the solution video afterwards. You could get rid of that alternate solution, but I wouldn't recommend it. Well, here is my remake of Push, hope you like it anyway: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=91095603

Oh wow, just watched the solution, don't think I would have ever figured that out. Luckily there's a good alternative.

Really loved it, but it's hard to execute. Well, was the solution to stack and push the cubes to keep the door open, but before doing this have a tractor beam push you up to the ceiling, above the omitted beam, then with the cubes in place aim the beam under the cubes and fall in the beam, then quickly get out of it into the exit? It seemed like the right idea, kind of hard to do, mostly because falling into the exit is a bit of a bitch. Perhaps you can simply have the exit door carved in a few tiles further, and then put a 90 degree glass panel before it that only opens up when the lazer receiver gets hit, so that you can't wait in the carved out space instead of that solution. Try that suggestion out, because I think with some optimization this could be a minimalist masterpiece.

great.
I felt like a simple map.
looks are decieving.
very clever.
glad exits have frames to stand on.

I had to stack the cubes on the floor then fly across the top of the map and then portal the bottom of the cube and quick jump in the exit

Not too hard to figure out what to do ^^ But this flying exit door make it a bit harder X)
