He played football in college you utter rube. He didn't have bone spurs, he was just another fortunate son who dodged the draft thanks to daddy's money and then grew up to be a pro-war conservative.

Bone spurs are real and you can't serve in the military with them. If you think they are petty, you've never had them. My maternal grandmother suffered them for ages, on her spine and elsewhere.

Not to mention that if you can't have diabetes or braces and serve in the military, how can you expect a man with serious pain in his feet to march with fifty pounds of gear on his back?

Please find a way to implement bone spurs as an event. Also another event involving closed borders, and a conspiracy involving another civilization.
