I finally finished the level! I had no idea you could rotate the portal! The architecture is just wonderful. It is creative and stylized - definitely your best looking level yet.
I did have trouble, though, with all of the puzzles. They were really hard. I thought I had to race the platforms. I was able to skip the 2 cube door to the last building, and could not figure out how to Clijsters back out of that room. I wasn't able to build low enough.
You might work a little on clarity and guiding the player so they know what to do. That's pretty vague, but it comes down to limiting their options so there is only one thing that they CAN do, and it should be clear and not too difficult.
If it is a new and difficult skill, it should be taught gradually. The way you did the room with the 2 platforms was good; there was only one solution, but it wasn't at all obvious and would have been better if the skill had been introduced earlier in an easier form, then repeated with the medium difficulty.
Let me know if you update anything! Thanks.
Let me know if you plan on making changes - great use of save stones and I REALLY like the Asian feel of the level. Just love those buildings and the slanted walls. It makes me want to build ... :)
this is where I'm at.
First, I got stuck in the temple because I didn't collect the blue cube on top of it.
Still somehow managed to get through, didn't know I was supposed to have two blues there.
Got stuck a minute later.
Then I got stuck in the next building with two blues and four reds.
Then I got stuck in the same building with two blues and five reds.
I'll go play something else now.
