Conquer the Web

Description
Get your company onto the homepage of every browser with 'Conquer the Web'! Now you and your team can develop websites for the masses, each with features specific to them. Websites are a great route for small companies since their userbase tends to stay with the product for a while, however they have a much smaller reach than other softwares. This feature unlocks in the year 1989 and will always have at least 1 competitor company in the field.

Last Update: 28th March @ 09:28GMT (See Change Notes).

Note: The Workshop for Software Inc. is somewhat lacking in mods. I'm not sure if this is because people are finding the wiki difficult to follow or just don't know where to start; so shortly I will be uploading a short video covering the basics of adding new software, specific tags on features and other little bits of information.

This mod will be subject to a lot of frequent changes, however if you're hitting the big green button up there you'll get the newest version every time you launch Software Inc.

Once the 'Subscription' feature is added into the game I will be tweaking the generated prices to finalize the balancing issues. Currently there are 7 Catagories; Crowdfunding, Forum, Dating, E-mail, Gambling, Search Engine, Social Media. - More will be added when these have been fully tweaked and balanced.

Planned Features:
- Balancing. A few issues here currently.
- Server bandwidth allocation dependent on 'active users'. - (done, kinda)
- Maximum 12 catagories, each completely fleshed out.
- More companies developing Websites; less often. (done, kinda)

You can find out all of the awesome stuff CoreDumping is planning to add here:

You can find out how to make your own Mods here:

Please remember: Until we have access to chaging price generation, or software pricing affects sales, this mod will always be a little unbalanced. I'm hoping that when Alpha 10 comes I'll have a solution to that.

@Quarcki - This mod was uploaded when there was very little on the Software Inc workshop, originally intended as a sudo-"tutorial". I have since stopped working on it, due to personal circumstance changes and because there are a lot more mods now and the information is more readily available.

@JayxModzz - The editor I used for this is called "Sublime Text 2" and it's great. You should get it.

@God-Emperor - All mods are "open-source", it's just best practise (and against the workshop TOS) to upload someone else's content as your own, even if modified.

@rhylmie_3 - Most likely a recent update broke it. As you can see, the most recent change note was on the 28th March. It's a tiny little bit out-dated now.

I will find the time to update this and fix whatever has broken in the coming weeks. Thanks for downloading guys, I actually never anticipated that anyone would bother.
