These ships are made by [Civilian Technology Enterprise] for public use. these are the most common ships found througout the Sirius Sector, and can be found everywhere, from the border worlds, to the core systems - Bretonia, Rhienland, Kusari and Liberty.
Generally the cheapest ships availible, many are considered as 'scrap metal' for those who have better ships. however, these ships are made with logevity in mind, so if the pilot manages to stay out of a fight, these ships can - and will - last a lifetime. several, if looked after.
on the other hand, some civilian ships, such as the Hawk, Roc, and other in that series of fighters - are made as cheap but sturdy station defence fighters, and can hold more than their weight in a uneven fight, and the bomber variant can take down military grade capital ships.

Many of the older CTE designs have ship classification codes beginning with CTE - though more recent ships have been given new classifications, such as the rarely seen IDC K-FR 'Sunburst' Freighter.
