Description
This little ship isn't much, but it's better than nothing. Designed as a personal shuttle for the general public, it comes with three light weapon hardpoints for self defence. As this was a ship designed for transporting one person from planet to planet, it has little in the way of firepower, and though the weapons can be exchanged for different ones, the generator is not capable of sustained weapons fire - and thus it is best to avoid confrontations. Though this ship is hardly the fastest, or the prettiest ship out there, it does it's job, and as long as you treat it nicely, it will be reliable for decades.
However, it can be quite a pokey starting ship if given enough skill, and the right weapons.

*note from me* Hi there all, I have been away for a loooong time - and this ship (had) become obsolete. I decided to update it since - well, I could.
If any of you have played freelancer, you will remember this ship as the first one you get when you start the game. and though it was crappy compared to some late game ships, it was capable of dealing a fair amount of damage when used in the right situation with the right equipment in the early game. It is technically an ultra-light fighter since it only has 3 gun mounts (light fighters have 4, heavy fighters have 6)
In FL the Starflier had unmatched maneuverability. I cannot really replicate that in this, but I tried. oh well.

It could also take the highest level mine, which could be incredibly powerful weapons when used correctly -
Sadly, KV does not have mines or countermeasures, so i cannot impliment that.
also, there were no laser beams in freelancer, save the Nomad weapons - which are unobtainable without mods - so imagine the laser as a 'Vengance' cannon.

Oh yes, and I chose the engine booster subsystem on this to mimic the Thruster in freelancer - so it can reach a speed of just over 900 with the kinetic dampners offline, though I will be making tweaked versions to balance the power issues at some point.

finally, there is no recharger OR cargo space on this ship, due to a lack of room in the ship. bit of a shame, but oh well. this is the main reason I don't reccomend sustained fire (at least with the laser) on this ship, because though it can keep the fire up for a long time, once it runs out - you will want to be far from enemies, as it recharges VERY slowly. i may change it at some point, but for now it will stay this way. Because the starflier is supposed to be rubbish, so this is.
I may also make some variants of this (say, a missile or a full laser or full kinetic, so on, maybe a tank version and a speed version - if i can)

oh, heh. i will probably keep that there as a joke (though i would be somewhat unsuprised if i did in the first place, it seems like the sorta thing i would do)
