Executive Shuttle - S.O. (Surface to Orbit)

Description
"The Dominion Acquisition Corporation, as the first family of business spacecraft, is proud to introduce a vessel that will once again redefine what it means to travel the stars. With best-in-class time-to-climb and low orbit cruise, you can relax comfortably amid luxury in a craft backed by 13 SAA diamond awards. It's time to experience the power of elegance.

We didn’t just invent the business shuttle, we perfected it." - Excerpt from promotional pamphlet

Hey all, welcome to my first in a (hopefully) long line of original ships under the DACORP brand

...

I'm not entirely sure about the name though

...

Anyway this is my first original design so any feedback is appreciated. The idea here is a corporate shuttle designed to ferry employees from the surface of a given planet to ships or facilities in orbit or nearby in-system. The VIPs have a cabin directly behind the cockpit, while their less-fortunate minions are relegated to the rear cabin. There's also an exclusive "hot-seat" located below the nose that gives an unrivaled view.

I imagine small passenger lines would use this model as well, selling tickets at a premium. Probably the closest real-world equivalent would be something like a LearJet.

NOTES:

Planets are coming, and this ship was built with that in mind. She has four of Sektan's atmospheric thrusters (9 on toolbar) that should be enough to make it to orbit, with standard ion engines to take over from there. When flying in atmo', I planned on it handling like a helicopter; that is, all thrust is pointed downwards and you'd need to angle the nose down to move forward. Check the series of videos that Sage did to get the idea. Keep in mind that until planets arrive, these thrusters are useless besides looking cool.

She's fully piped and all four cabins have O2, but as it was only meant to embark/disembark in a pressurized environment, there is no airlock proper. All of the vents are turned off as default so you're not constantly getting blasted as you move about the ship. Having said all that, she's technically survival ready.

Features jump drive and shields. Landing gear is maglocks.

WHAT'S NEXT:

Variations. I'm thinking one for a private owner, two person crew meant for longer range trading/exploration, and another that's a militarized dropship/gunship.

For all of you guys who are mod-shy, I'm thinking of trying my hand vanilla ships, so stay tuned.

Absolutely. I think you'll find our prices "competitive" and our customer service record "outstanding".

Ahh yes, splendid! I am thinking of requisitioning one for private use within the company, do you have an offer on that? (rp)
