Way of the Gun Adept

Description
The purpose of this mod is to add some more flavor to the Physical Adept archetype, and to hopefully get more from putting points into it. Most of this mod focuses on adding powers that boost Ranged Combat, but there are also several changes that will benefit any build. You can also download this at the Shadowrun Nexus, as well as the "uncooked (text)" version: http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunreturns/mods/241/

Way of the Gun Adept

New Spells:

Chi Focus and Chi Onslaught: I have added Chi Focus and Chi Onslaught powers for each weapon type. They follow the same rules as the ones for melee, with these changes:

SMGs: Flush targets out of cover instead of AP damage.
Pistols: Exactly the same as melee.
Shotguns: Both powers strip armor from a target.
Rifles: Both powers ignore some of the armor on a target.

NOTE: For the following, all passive-only powers require an essence/magic score of 5 or 6, updated the spell descriptions to reflect this. I wanted it to feel that the adept's powers were mostly on all the time, but boosts from cyberware on top of these would be OP.

Improved Senses - A passive 6% accuracy.

Improved Ranged Combat - A buff that increases your ranged combat score by 2 for 3 turns, 6 turn cooldown. It also boosts your weapon specializations by 2 while it is active. Requires activation

Improved Melee Combat - Same as above, except it boosts your Close Combat skill and Edged/Unarmed specializations. Requires activation.

Boosted Attribute - There are 6 powers that boost an attribute by 1. Boosted Body raises your Body by 1, etc.

Rapid Healing I and II - a heal spell that can only be used on yourself. Rapid Healing I heals a flat 10 damage, Rapid Healing II heals 20 damage.

Improved Reflexes - Adds a passive +1 dodge and you auto-dodge the first attack of every round of combat.

Two new outfits - One gives Chi Casting +1, Willpower +1, and Ranged Combat +1, the other gives Chi Casting +1, Willpower +1, and Close Combat +1.

Changes to Existing Spells:

Stride - Now a flat +3 movement passive.

Mystic Armor - A flat +3 armor passive.

Pain Resistance - A flat -5 damage reduction passive.

This does not remove the original powers, so feel free to use the old ones if you don't like the changes/don't want to use cyberware.

This is a DATA ONLY mod, so to use any of these spells, you need to add them to vendors in the campaign you want to play. I have included equipment sheets to make this easier, they are adept_tier1, adept_tier2, and adept_tier3 (all)

Not sure why you assume people know what to do with uncooked files, google doesn't tell a singular thing.

Sorry, I am not supporting this version anymore but have released a version for Shadowrun: Hong Kong on the nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunhongkong/mods/29

It is much easier to install! It can probably be adapted for Dragonfall, I have included the uncooked files.

Can you made this for main campaign easier to install?

I did everything you told me but when i'm about to add the equipment sheets it won't show.

I'm planning on redoing this for Hong Kong and will make it easier to install then! Thankfully, most of what I've already done should still work, but that auto-load cyber is gonna be an adept power for sure!

I like this a lot. I'd really love if you made a version of this that will auto-add the files to both campaigns though rather than making us do it manually. At least try? <3

Apologies in advance for the comment spam chrieggroll (I already posted this on the nexusforums but then I thought you haven't been active on there for a while so maybe I need to try steam?)

I opened up dragonfall extended's in the editor, altered dependencies to include gun adept at a lower level on the list. Then I opened up haven and a3 haven. In each scene I opened up Aljernon under actors and added adept_tier1/2/3 as needed to his equipment list. Following all that I published the content locally (got the successfully published prompt) and then booted up Dragonfall through my steam client. Basically it stops loading after a few minutes and tips keep cycling. I waited ~4 hours so far and no dice. Would you know what I am doing wrong?
