Nutcracker

Description
Some say the Medic built this machine to restore human limbs and heal any injury.
Others believe it could make a man immortal.
One thing’s for certain anyone brave enough to approach him... is nuts.

It was Smissmas Eve, and Dr. Ludwig, better known as the Medic, made a discovery.
Nuts. Yes, nuts contain a mysterious compound capable of granting immortality.

Unable to sleep, Ludwig found himself in the Mann Co. Toy Factory, the perfect place to build his newest invention
a machine capable of crushing nuts into pure life essence.

As the clock struck midnight… something stirred.
The machine roared to life.
The Nutcracker awakened and spoke.

The patient whose skeleton was stolen now inhabited a new body.
Enraged by what Ludwig had done to him, he grew violent toward anyone foolish enough to approach.

Now, news of this machine has spread across the Badlands.
Could it truly make someone immortal?
Could it decide the outcome of every war to come?

Everyone wants a taste of eternity.
And to win the fight, one thing is certain:

Feed the Nutcracker. Survive his hunger.
Oh, and…
You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let’s get nuts!

This looks super solid, and it's nice to not have the deposit be stuck in an alternate area like all the halloween ones.

@Billo Thanks for the clarifications!
I missed that there's a RESUPPLY sign on Pic10 as I wasn't at home and using a smaller screen when I wrote my 1st comment. My bad.
I'm not a fan of small single room spawns with single exit or all exits going out onto the same area that's easily be controlled by a single sentry.

I admit maps being too dark are a pet peeve of mine. Whenever I helped in beta testing maps on TF2Maps servers, dimly lit areas make it hard to see anything, but esp team colours. Even night-time maps IMO should have the areas which players travel through and fight in being well-lit.

Shadowy areas for mood should ideally be off-map areas, or room corners for spies to hide in, or spots that players run past but can't actually access (i.e. a balcony or shop), or outside behind a pile of rocks or a thicket of plants.

Maybe add glowy fireflies, or crates filled with toys with suspiciously (radioactive) glowing paint?

Hey, thanks for your interesting comment! About the servers, it's up to anyone who wants to host!
Visually, I'm going for a toy factory theme that's turned sinister, hence the intentional dark feel.
many areas are dark to heighten light contrast (see pics 3,4,6). Even the color correction enhances this darkness. The map leaves some areas empty on purpose. The skybox, inspired by Hydro's empty land, discouraging players from leaving the playable area, making the toy factory feel far from civilization which is evident in the trailer's snowstorm.
I avoided overdoing decorations to maintain FPS performance and stay true to the original TF2 theme. But based on feedback, I can always improve the map.
Pic 10 is the spawn: each team starts high up for an advantage, we never had any spawn camping issues.
Hope this clears things up! I loved your comment and thoughts. If you play the map, let me know if you enjoyed it!

I haven't had a chance to playtest this map yet. Currently downloading it. Will it be playtested on community servers somewhere?
It's an interesting theme, suitably gory for TF2.
Visually though, the "outside" parts of the map look kind of... drab, though? There seem to be a lot of very dimly lit areas (not optimal for team colour recognition). Stone buildings, very little colour, kind of depressing.
The area shown in Picture #10, in particular, is extremely open and empty. Heaven for Snipers and endless Sniper sightlines, hell for Heavies?

I can understand wanting to remove decorations, trees, props for FPS and entity limit purposes, but this isn't going to be a comp map. For a wacky Smissmas map, I would wish for a little more colour and pretty stuff (even if it's in a satirical over-the-top way because it's a Mann Co. toy factory and probably used child labour or enslaved Yetis or something in-universe).
