Murata Type 13 Rifle is a special rifle that was designed in in the Japanese Empire during Meiji 9 and developed during Meiji 13.
Imperial Japanese Army Infantry Major Murata Tsuneyoshi invented this rifle after the Boshin War, and made the Murata Type 13 Rifle to use the 11x60mmR Murata cartridge.
The Murata Type 13 Rifle could fire at a maximum distance of 1,800 meters with a muzzle velocity of 437 meters per second.
These single-shot bolt-action rifles survived through five wars, though most of the Murata Type 13 Rifles were converted into rifle grenade launchers so they can be somewhat rare to find.
The total mass and length f the Murata Type 13 Rifle is equal to 4.62 kilograms and 1,293 millimeters, respectively, with the barrel length being equal to 840 millimeters.
Koishikawa Arsenal, Kokura Arsenal, and Nagoya Arsenal altogether developed approximately eighty-thousand Murata Type 13 Rifles.
