Description
This mod is an overhaul and update of WebKnight's original "Immersive Hud." It is in a usable state but may still have some unforeseen bugs.

「RSS」 Immersive Hud

This mod is an updated and expanded version of the original "Immersive Hud" created by WebKnight. The goal is to provide a more immersive Arma 3 experience by removing distracting vanilla HUD elements when on foot. To get crucial information, you'll need to physically look at your gear.

The original mod disabled the vanilla ammo counter and other infantry HUD elements. To check your weapon's ammo and firing mode, you would look at it. To see your selected grenade and magazine count, you would look down at your chest rig. This overhaul retains that core immersive experience while adding new features and important bug fixes.

Features
  • ACE3 Medical Integration: Look down at yourself to get a quick overview of your medical status.
  • ACE3 Safe Mode Support: The HUD will now correctly reflect when your weapon is on safe with ACE3's safe mode system.
  • Improved Magazine & Grenade Display: Instead of only showing the selected grenade's count and a generalized count of compatible magazines, the HUD now shows the individual count for each type of magazine and grenade you are carrying.
  • Improved Readability: The overall HUD display has been tweaked for better clarity.
  • Localization Support: Includes translations for ArmA's supported languages.

Fixes and Improvements
  • Zeroing: Current zeroed in range only shows up when you change it.
  • Disposable Launchers: Issues with disposable launchers should now be resolved.
  • ACE3 Javelin Lock-on: The ACE3 Javelin's lock-on functionality is now working as intended.
  • Binocular HUD: The vanilla HUD will no longer reappear when using binoculars.
  • Weapon Information: On-screen details for LRF (Laser Range Finder) and other weapon-mounted accessories will no longer disappear.

I am planning on making the HUD work when in vehicles. RIght now I just disable it outright when in one because I have yet to figure out how to determine if the current seat has weapons or not.

I love this mod, but it breaks the "disable HUD" mode from ACE and other mods, i usually use it to hide usernames from my screenshots, any way to make them work again?

It looks weird. It should either work or not. By the way, the scope doesn't matter. I tried it without a scope. My MX rifle doesn't work reliably.

It might be possible to make your mod work the same way with Fire From Vehicles? I mean when you look out of the hatch of a tank or when you are in a truck or in a helicopter as a passenger.

Another detail! I noticed that the zeroing feature isn't working stable. I tried pressing PageUp/PageDown, but the zeroing feature didn't appear - https://youtu.be/z80uftrCUr8

It seems like everything was working fine, until I tried changing the "ACE User Interface settings". I only turned the "Soldier/Vehicle Weapon Information" setting off/on once.

We're patiently waiting for your mod's settings. I've been thinking about it for a while now and have some suggestions for the settings. If you have the opportunity and would like to, then please try making the following adjustments:

1. Disable/enable the magazine fullness information (the magazine fullness is still shown in the inventory)
2. Disable the display of the magazine count when looking at the vest (the magazine count is already shown in the inventory)
3. Disable the display of the grenades count, when looking at the vest (the grenade count is still shown in the inventory, in this case only the one currently used grenade is needed).
4. Adjust the text size (small/large/medium)
5. If possible, like in ACE3, add text color settings.
