Gravship Crashes

Description
GravshipCrashes
This mod takes Gravships found in my other mod Gravship Exporter and randomly adds POIs to the map where a crashing ship may be found.
The gravship will be without GravEngine (why do you think it crashed !) and may be significantly damaged, or hardly damaged at all, there may also be survivors, who wont take kindly to you coming to strip their ship for parts, or them for kidneys...

For this mod I need some feedback in the comments please :) I'm not sure if it's balanced perfectly (or even at all) for the random loot or defenders etc. so any feedback on that kind of thing very much appreciated :D

Features
  • Grav Engine replaced with a Broken Grav Engine that you can dismantle for spare parts (multiple Grav Engines on the same map annoys base Rimworld)
  • POIs generated randomly containing a crashed Gravship for you to plunder/loot
  • Items, structures and Pawns on the ship will be randomly damaged to simulate a crash
  • Random loot spawned to reward you for attacking
  • Defenders spawned (Rules for this, 1 Defending Pawn per Bed, if no Beds then per seat, if no seats then per 20 cells of ship)
  • Turrets powered and fuel required buildings partially fueled
  • Damage levels can be tuned in the mod settings as can the chances for the event to spawn
  • By default 25% of uncovered gravpanels (i.e.that don't have furniture or a wall on etc.) will be destroyed and unusable, this can be tuned in the mod settings.
  • Don't want to see your favourite design blown up and ruined ? Filter ships out of being eligible to crash in the mod settings menu !


Mod Compatibility
In theory it should be compatible with everything, if you're using an exported mod from someone else then you will need any mods they decided to include on the ship otherwise the thing won't spawn and might throw an error.

Future Plans
  • Landed ships with fully alive crew to fight back for a greater challenge
  • Space combat, ability to fight another ship in space with just your turrets and your wits to win

how can i get more ships layout dont tell me i must search for them in the whole workshop atleast make a discussion about mods so when ever someone make a crash ship layout or something i can easily find it in here i love variety :steammocking:

Had a weird encounter a day ago where I tried to land and attack a crashed gravship. It spawned inside of a glacier, with fog of war in the area. However, when I went in to explore, the fog of war wouldn't lift and I couldn't see what was attacking me. I was forced to go back to my gravship and leave. When I tried to, the game told me that I'd be leaving grav ship structure behind (in reference to the enemy gravship). Luckily I didn't lose any of my own gravship. It's possible the ship spawned with a functional grav engine.

Update to fix an issue where now Exporter is handling floors better we didn't break floors properly when replacing them with BrokenGravshipSubstructure

Update to remove some items from the loot pool if people don't have some DLCs

@RadarCDN Probably not something I'm going for, in my head it's damaged beyond repair and the crew are hostile so they're not from the orbital traders.

Is there a way to repair the crew's engine? Not for stealing mind you: I think the Odyssey space traders would be very happy if you fixed up their ship (by say, giving them a grav core). The reward would have to be well worth it obviously (I have a mod that lets you buy Odyssey stuff, and another that lets you build grav engines): perhaps a relationship buff and a good chunk of resources? It can take years to rebuild a ship and you just saved them a ton of labor and materials.
