"We fly now, yes.yes!"

At long last, the Warlock-Engineers of Clan Skryre take to the skies! After a long hiatus, from making this mod I finally bring you my take on a Skaven airship, bringing something like the Dwarf Thunderbarge for the ratmen. If you seen my Daemonbarge for the CHaos Dwarfs you know waht to expect.



Gameplay
Standard Doomship

Close Range: Poison Wind Globadiers stationed aboard lob deadly globes at enemy infantry.

Long Range: Equipped with two Warp Lightning Cannons to fry armored targets from afar.

Support Fire: Four dedicated rocketeers unleash barrages of warp-rockets at anything that moves.

Bombing Runs: Can drop explosive payloads from hull hatches onto unfortunate units below.

Attributes: Faster than a Thunderbarge, but with less armor and health to balance its devastating firepower.


Regiment of Renown – Ratforce One-One
Enhanced Armaments: Globadiers throw upgraded Death Globes for even more lethal close-range devastation.
Superior Firepower: Weapons deal slightly more damage than the standard version.
Prestige Project: A terrifying reminder that no one is safe from Skaven “innovation.”

For custom battles you can use a mount for Ikit, but so far I have have no skill to make it campaign unlock and usable, I need help with that.

Other potential change might be having weapon teams on deck, if Greenphoenix, who kindly donated some animation packs he made for the deck bombers will look at broken animations and fix them, which could mean ratling guns, mortars, jezails.

I was toying with the idea of a skyjunk like unit like the Hellsinger in my chorf mod, like a doomwheel rigged with jets to fly, but just wanted to put this out there as it's the main draw.

- You could add some Jezzail snipers for the platform

- Give the ships some warpstone bombs that they drop like gyrobombers

- The RoR airship could have a single doomrocket missile (1/2 damage so its not too OP) that it can fire with an ability, maybe change the paintjob on the ship to something closer to Skaven clan colours

- Give the RoR the ability to summon a single Doomwheel unit per battle, 2x summon of Rattling cannons units. Take advantage of a dropship ability that these ships would have space to hold a few units inside

The warp lightning cannon mounted on the front of ship would work great if its possible. Another type of flying unit that the Skaven could steal the tech for is the Cathay Sky-Junk balloons, any mods that add more Skaven aircraft units are great addition :steamthumbsup:

But I do have to warn you, when I update the mod and if you are not playing the obsolete version from your data folder it will get wiped with the new, removing any alterations

If Greenphoenix gets his rear in gear and fixes his animations, sure, but also I have my own idea of mounting a big central cannon on one of these, like the harpoon the doorf ship has.
