You need nothing special
- Any ship
- Any Crew/Laser/Upgrade

First, go in the "Rebel Stronghold", in a planet "without ship detected"

The "Rebel Stronghold" is a random red hostile sector, The sector in like the Home World of the ''Rebel controlled sector'', You can not get that area at every game



You need to get that, and make the first choice



A second flagship in construction



You need to destroy the ship, OR kill all the crew



Victory



Ship destroyed loot



All crew killed loot



After loot



Congratulations ! You have unlocked The Federation Cruiser !

can you get this quest if you unlocked it from beating the game with the engineer ship? If not then that quest icon is going to bother me forever.... :steamfacepalm:

finally got this bad boy after a solid 10 hours of trying, but it was worth it. love everything about this ship: the layout, the starting weaponry, the crew, and of course, the artillery beam. It's also worth mentioning how sleek this ship looks. love it. thanks for the guide

Best ship I haven't done slug but IMO out of all of the ones I've unlocked it's the best
