The Crystal Cruiser Quest
YOU NEED THE ROCK SHIP C, because you need the crystal crew

For information, its was the second time i find this, played with the crystal cruiser, but i change nothing, you just need the crystal crew

An other guide say ""Repeat after me: "do not waste time fighting ships".""
Me i recommend you to take time to upgrade your ship

First, go on the "Rock Homeworlds", its only here you can find the event, go in a planet "without ship detected", Ｔhe "Rock Homeworlds" is a random red hostile sector, You can not get that area at every game

You really need to be lucky, you can't found it always, I played 4 run with the Rock C to get it

You need to found this


Blue event


You are automatically jump in a new area


Quest

The "Quest" planet just have the ship, you don't have to fight (SS from my first run)


Congratulations ! You have unlocked The Crystal Cruiser !
What you can get in this sector - Attack
Remember all crystal cruiser gun have a shield piercing of 1, its why i recommend you to upgrade your ship, its would sad to lose here

I finally got all the pre-reqs, Rock Homeworlds was next sector, but didn't know looking in the Zoltan Eye could kill a crewmember. Maybe I'll get it next year.

well I got the pod and apparently if you go to a zoltan sector and get the dna data researcher event they can boot up the pod and give you a crystal crew member, unless you get another rock sector though you're kinda stuck in terms of the quest :/

OMG I thought I'd have to get insane luck on the original quest or beat the flagship with type a&b of every ship to get the cruiser, tysm for this guide!

@Not John Malkovich It's because the crystal crew in the pod is named Ruwen.

If you rename your Crystal Crew member "Ruwen", the relevant beacons become highlighted quest beacons instead of non-highlighted.

The original "quest" is you find a pod, get it opened by Zoltan researchers, and then find a beacon in the Rock homeworlds (maybe Rock sector in general?). Though, due to the unfortunate amount of luck needed to find it with other ships, this lets you find the secor without the stressful amount of RNG to go through, and I didn't think this would work thinking you needed a quest marker from releasing a crystal crew.
