Also available on Github[github.com].

Toggleable Tweaks
Rename Categories
Renames all the verb category names so that all categories have nouns as their name.

Also renames certain other categories to be more consistent and understandable.
  • Automate > Automation
  • Build > Structure
  • Entertain > Leisure
  • Fight > Security
  • Furnish > Furniture
  • Manage > Management
  • Make > Production
  • Store > Storage
  • Transport (no rename)
Animals
  • Remove the Animal/Bedding subcategory and move animal bedding to Animals/Ranching.
  • Move Fences to Structure/Walls and the standard fence gate to Structure/Doors.
Area
  • Combine Temperature Subcategories
  • Combine Filth and Pollution
  • Remove Terraforming Subcategory
Automation
  • Remove the Automation Category. In the future, will move factories subcategories to Production.
  • Move Mechanoids subcategory to Biotech.
People
  • Move Childhood to Furniture (requires Biotech)
  • Remove the People Category and move any remaining subcategories and items into More
Power
  • Combine all Power subcategories and make Power a subcategory of Resources
Resources/Water
  • Move Animal things to Animals
  • Move bathroom fixtures to a new Furniture subcategory called "Hygiene"
  • Move Fire Sprinkler to Area/Firefoam (and rename it to "Fire Suppression").
  • Move radiators to Area/Heating
  • Move Washing Machine to Production/Processing
These patches leave Resources/Water with just water infrastructure, and the users of water are all in more sensible places. After all, you don't have the Electric Smelter in the Power category just because it uses electricity.
World
  • Remove the World Category.
  • Moves Outreach to More
  • Move Monolith to More.

@bAhAcAn This is actually already a feature of another mod of mine, Clean Categories Dropdowns Extended! I'll migrate it over here sometime soon, but for now you could install that one.

Hello friend. Loved you tweaks. It certainly made the mod better. Got a question regarding Appliances Expanded. (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869098359&searchtext=appliance) Would it be possible to distribute the appliances to their respective sub-categories? Everything from kitchen to crafting being under chemfuel in resources clutters there a bit. Thanks in advance, kudos to y'all.

@ Apimill
One of ferny's mods removes them; I don't remember which one.

@NavyFire @Star Eyes

I'm guessing you guys don't have VE Chemfuel? If you don't, then the power changes shouldn't fire off at all. If you do, then they should be in the resources category. I'll double check the negative case to make sure that none of them go off.

Fridges are getting moved to storage in the base mod

I also humbly second @culona's request to move fridges to storage.

Is it possible to move fridges from [sbz] Fridge to storage? now theyre in area -> other

@LordBeef21 Same issue still exists. Star eyes is seeing the same issue. All power tab buildings and items are missing and unable to be built, even if researched.

This mod hides all the buildings normally in the power tab for me, including base game things like conduit. I cannot even copy the conduit to place it down somewhere else.
