Description
Automated Farming Module Mod for Space Engineers

NOTE: For a more immersive experience with farming Planting Automation

This mod adds a new production block called the "Automated Farming Module" which allows you to automatically produce food items from seeds without needing to plant them manually in farm plots.

KNOWN ISSUES:
1) This block does NOT allow for direct interaction like all other interaction blocks. Instead the block is managed entirely through the production tab in the k menu and the inventory tab if you do not have it properly connected to a conveyor network with ice and seeds. If you DO have a properly connected conveyor network and the correct stored materials within to satisfy the craft, this block is entirely managed in the production tab. Utilize Repeat Mode to make this 1 set up and done configuring forever.

2) Crafting seems to third the seeds for some reason instead of using an entire unit, not sure why this is the case.

Features:
- New large block based on the Farm Plot design
- Four new crafting recipes for automated food production
- Uses ice as a water source for growing food
- Higher production yield than manual farming (3 items per seed)

Recipes:
1. Fruit Seeds + 480 Ice = 3 Fruit (30 minutes production time)
2. Vegetable Seeds + 700 Ice = 3 Vegetables (45 minutes production time)
3. Grain Seeds + 144 Ice = 3 Grain (10 minutes production time)
4. Mushroom Spores + 300 Ice = 3 Mushrooms (20 minutes production time)

Server Installation:
1. Extract the mod folder to your Space Engineers mods directory
2. Enable the mod in the game's mod manager
3. Build the Automated Farming Module block (requires Steel Plates, Construction Components, Large Tubes, Motors, Metal Grids, Computers, and Displays)

How to use:
1. Place the Automated Farming Module on your station or ship
2. Supply it with seeds and ice through inventory or conveyor system
3. Select the recipe you want to produce
4. The block will automatically produce food items without manual intervention

Note: This mod requires the Apex Survival Kit DLC to function properly as it uses assets from that DLC.

@crimson the installation instructions in the description is if you are hosting a server. If you are just loading into your own local world its like every other mod,

@-Data- I will look into this option thanks for the suggestion! Animation of the farm growth progress, balancing the build costs, and direct interaction are at the top of my list for the next update to the mod.

just throwing this idea out here, ive never used this api before. but have you tried using Animation Engine to make the growth animations possible?

for balancing and aesthetic, i''m forwarding Oddbase's request for extra component cost. another idea i had was to also make the block twice the volume. the thought being that you're sacrificing some compactness for ease of production. maybe the extra volume in the model could be filled mechanical parts.

Thanks for sharing this mod! Hope that one of these auto planting mods will make it soon into the official vanilla release. Keep up the good work!

I will look into balancing the cost of building the block.

There is an inventory for it but you cannot interact directly with the block at its current stage. All management is done inside the K menu and finding it within the various tabs within there, usually seraching "auto" finds it right away.

future updates will hopefully address the non interaction
