Description
This mod modifies (heh) how the game chooses encounters to avoid repeating ones with the same portal image too often, in the sake of enemy variety. You can also utilize this mod's pair of configs to have the game avoid showing the same enemy more than once during a run (if possible) or just block a specific enemy from appearing naturally AT ALL.



Config Use Instructions, written by PYMN:

Go to: .../Brutal Orchestra/BepInEx/config
- (complete path depends on where Brutal Orchestra is installed)
Config Files generate upon opening game with mod active for first time.
Config Files should be able to be opened with a text editor.
! You Do Not Need To Restart The Game For Changes To Config Files To Become Active !

EnemyVarietySelectivity.cfg
- DiscriminateByEncounter:
When starting a new run, if option is true,
will attempt to prevent game from loading multiple encounters with the same portal icon into the run.
- DiscriminateByEnemy:
When starting a new run, if option is true,
will attempt to prevent game from loading an enemy into the run twice.
! Neither Option Is 100% !
To prevent extremely long load times, sometimes mod will permit repeats.

EnemyVarietyBlocking.cfg
- Lets you block specific enemy bundles or specific enemies from loading into a run.
May be difficult to understand if unaware of internal labelling systems of both base game and other mods.
! Also Is Not 100% !
Much more precise, however, if too many enemies are blocked, may let blocked enemies into run on occasion.
Blocking every encounter for an area's difficulty may cause unforeseen problems, it is not recommended.

Note About Load Delays:
- Mod may slow game load times significantly on opening game and on new run.
- Delay mostly dependent on amount of enemies that exist in game (More Mods => More Delays).
