Hollow Bastion (Kingdom Hearts)

Description
A mysterious, abandoned castle in a forgotten kingdom. I present you my port of Hollow Bastion from Kingdom Hearts for the PS2. It's got the main areas (the most visually interesting) from the original world. I also added Dive to the Heart as a bonus area. Even if you never played Kingdom Hearts, this map can be useful if you need a fancy castle setting for your screenshots/videos.

i've been talking about the issue with a server i'm in and we think what might've happened is something broke from the latest x86-64 branch update
and that somehow caused the missing texture problem
that would also explain why this doesn't happen on the 32 bit branch

i still haven't found out why it just stopped appearing right on 64 bit, but if if there's any updates about that i'll put them here

I did some searching of that error you got. Someone was able to workaround the problem by launching Gmod in 32 bit mode instead of 64 bit.

Not sure if that will help you, but you can give it a try.

i'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden various parts of the map have missing textures
i tried unsubbing and resubbing, verifying game files, and even reinstalling the game, but nothing worked
the map was working fine a few days ago

i checked the console and it said that "detail.vbsp" failed a whitelist check and that the following files had "funny length"

i initially tried including these error prints in full but then i ran into the steam comment character limit

after those error prints it said "Couldn't write cache/map_pack.bsp to mount embedded content!"

Oh man, that's eerie. Just a few weeks ago, I entertained the idea of someone porting Hollow Bastion to Gmod, and low and behold, here it is! You did this place justice!

I know it's not that great or iconic, but I would appreciate a lot if you port the Pirates of the Caribbean world

@KeyBladeNinjaTurtle: Traverse Town is on my list! It is definitely coming eventually. Lots of memories in that town, very nostalgic, so it's a must-do for me.

@k2mario: It just depends on how easily available or rippable the models are. If the models have already been deciphered / ripped, it's doable.

I love seeing video game stages remade into GMod maps.
It means we get to explore them in more detail than allowed in the games they're from.
