Polar Knight

Description
The biggest and toughest knight from the Order of No Quarter is here! (Unfortunately he didn't read the part of the invitation that said "newcomers get a free resprite")

Polar Knight is a heavyweight character around the size of Regigigas, but with a giant shovel to easily smack away opponents and keep them far from his golem-sized hurtbox. Unlike most other characters, he's got 2 unique factors:

-Most of his attacks include a bit of soft armor each, so it won't be easy to stop him.

-He only has 1 jump, but it's got double the vertical speed. (It's a reference to Shovel Knight Showdown, the only reason I managed to make this character)

His moveset plays around the strategy of staying on the safe ground, and avoid flying around except for combos and recovery, all this while shoving the opponent away using his huge shovel.
Some remarkable things about his regular moves are:

-Jab and FTilt, along with NAir and FAir, are very similar to each other, with the difference of the neutrals having more soft armor and the forwards having scaling knockback.

-DAir sends Polar Knight flying down with his shovel, but unlike Shovel Knight, he's too heavy to pogo, and will keep going down unless he walljumps or touches the ground.

-FStrong has 2 hitboxes, one when he thrusts his shovel, and a second when he slashes the shovel back, as if picking up snow.

-DTilt doesn't deal much damage, but it has a lot of knockback and hitstun. It's very useful for edge guarding (even though in this game characters can't hold onto ledges).

Lastly, his Specials are:

-NSpecial: A snowball that barely causes damage and freezes grounded opponents, but when used in the air, he'll only kick up some snow and do an attack similar to DTilt.

-FSpecial: Polar Knight sprints forward while stacking up some snow on his shovel. This dash will last for as long as the special button is held. When used in the air, he'll do a shorter dash, similar to Little Mac's FSpecial, and he'll end the attack in pratfall.

-USpecial: It's literally Kragg USpecial. Yeah sorry there's not much else to say. It's just that. And believe it or not, it was by FAR the hardest attack to code.

-DSpecial: Polar Knight takes a chug of beer and temporarily gains soft armor and a bit of extra damage, but he'll trip when he's in the air. You know what they say "don't drink and driv- I mean jump"

Oh yeah, one last detail, the taunts go for as long as you hold the button, but you'll have to wait for him to finish his meal.

I honestly didn't expect to see my character on the main page, even less as the 6th most popular post. Guys calm down it's only been 1 day (Jokes aside, thank you all for the support)

Unfortunately, no. I'm not good at pixelart and rely mostly on how many sprites the original character has. Still, I personally like how the final project turned out

Will he eventually get a resprite? or is he going to keep his sprites as is? just curious. either way, looks fun to try.

Yeah I've checked it and the AI might sometimes be lucky enough to jump, but most of the times it just trips and falls trying to use USpecial a second time. I have absolutely no experience with AI coding so I can't really fix the problem, sorry

@SKULLY It's most likely because his recovery is weird. Kragg up-B, a weirdly high jump with no double jump. The default Workshop AI, from what I can tell, is basically just programmed to default to up-B when they need to recover, even if there's a better recovery option for the situation. It just isn't programmed to handle anything more complex than that.

not sure why, but the ai does not know how to recover
